Carenado CJ2 Few problems

Recommended Posts

OK Guys, you've had long enough playing with this jet, (lol)  to know if it flies direct to a waypoint on a flightplan after skipping a waypoint or two and doesn't do the usual of trying to pick up the original route at some arbitary point...

Please...

...Thanks Richard, no rush  ,

I am interested in any business jet that comes out, just that I would like them to be capable of basic NAV and VNAV abilities as per RW..

I have the CC burning a hole in my pocket but won't fork out for something that will annoy me and then gather dust in the hanger...  that is why I was eager for reports on it.

Gauging from another poster's comments, I think the Mustang will be my main Bizjet for a while.....

I did a quick portion of a flight from KPHX to KLAS - all worked perfect - flew to 5 waypoints settled at altitude and then down to the next lower altitude  - stayed at the assigned altitude in fms perfectly

I used FD - AP - NAV- VS / VOR2 in mfd which I didnt touch its all ready set

To ascend or descend to desired altitude I changed VS - bam did it on the mark - hawker would not do this - so I think they have stepped up their game

So at first glance of only 30 min in it pretty happy - have not done complete flight yet but confident  there wont be any issues at least for manually landing - ils thats a different story and learning

On the autopilot control panel, top of the alt sel knob you can change in 1000' increments and at the bottom of the knob is a click spot for 100' increments

Thanks Richard.  I appreciate your initial impressions.  I am going ahead with my purchase and blocking my weekend ;)

I'd love to know if anyone can do a max throttle cruise to see if there is any engine damage modelling, as the King Air has this, I wondered they may have included this feature, although to be fair I'd be very surprised if they had.

I will check this tomorrow. I do know that you can exceed MMO in level flight, just like the real one, and will get alarms.  It  has good spoilers on top and bottom of wings that are modeled correctly.

2. When I switch the plane to cold and dark and I turn on the batteries the screens are dimmed very dark. There is a BRT/DIM knob, but it can't be clicked. Does anyone know how to dim it more bright?

Anyone else having this problem? When I load the plane they look fine but if I used the Cold & Dark button the screens come up dim with no way to increase the brightness.

Good Morning Richard,

I have no idea why the curtain won't open for you. Crazy system, these click spots. I have no problem with mine. See screenshot for clickspot area. Comes with sounds effects as the curtain slides open and closed.

Regards,

Ray

That worked Ray - thank you - its a very small area go figure

Sorry to sound rude, but this doesn't answer the question of, does it fly DIRECT to a waypoint. As in, if there are 5 waypoints and you are flying from 1-2 and want to fly direct from present position to waypoint 5, can you? Or does it take you on a goose chase trying to find another intercept?

Past models have not allowed that, including the most recent King Air

Thank you

I may be doing something wrong but it seems under powered or over dragged. FL320 full power and just nudging past 200kt indicated.

Is anyone else seeing this. Is this right?

Regards Dave.

That could be ok .. what is the OAT / SAT / TAT?

Did the performance tables have data for this?
