Did an Alpine Edition lookalike - now available in the Avsim Library

Recommended Posts

It is a good thing the CJ2 came with some tail numbers. Nearly impossible to make new numbers, even using the defaults as a guide.  I have never seen so many twists, turns, mirrors, etc in the paint templates.  The end result is OK though.

Ray

You're getting to be quite the artist Ray.  Nice.

Simply beautiful!

Can I pay you for a version of that with a custom N number?

Sure. How about minimum wage? It takes about 4 - 6 hours to add a number using the Carenado paint kit (sic).

PM me with your custom N number for a quote. :P

Yeah, I was going to say that was a very quick repaint. It takes me 10+ hours to do a Carenado repaint. I have to spread it out over a few days or I am driven mad!

Hi Ken,

Check out the post on the FMS and the Direct to function that I posted.  It may have some improvements but it doesn't work like we think it should.

It took 90% of the time to get the tail number correct across the rudder gap and 10% of the time to make the custom graphics and get them flipped and turned and mirrored.  And that was with a repaint for a roadmap.  Without a go-by I would still be scratching my head.  Crazy. Crazy, but I like the end result.

Regards,

Ray

Thanks, I missed it.

Yeah, I don't even attempt across the rudder anymore. I try to put my N numbers on either the engines or lower aft fuselage.
