P3D V3.3.5 OOM using 2.3gb of VRAM #####

So true. It is unfortunate when people incur a problem that is an anomaly that nobody else experiences and blames it on the app and not their own setup or system.

  • AS Howard said - the 12G of ram on the card have nothing to do with Virtual Adress Space - that is limited to 4G in a 32bit system. You used 2.3 - so something requested more contiguous space than you

For the record with 64 bit you can have OOMs too lol

Correct that's one VAS hog I only use a few settings from Vector and never had an OOM in P3D V3X

Something asking for that much ram in one swoop is big!  I'd use an app like SimStarter to create a config that has some other less needed demanding features turned down or off for flights into tough airports like Frankfurt...maybe, in one profile shut off Vector and some sliders down one or two notches.  Point is, developers can use up all of your 4Gig space...you have to adjust.
