Best freeware for Heathrow?

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm mostly installing freeware software for different airports, does anyone know the best heathrow freeware airport, preferably one with the addition of the new terminal 2 for star alliance only.

Get all of Ray Smith's freeware in the AVSIM library.

I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam

It's a toss up between the UK2000 and Aerosoft renditions.  I can say that the UK2000 version is pretty good but haven't tried the Aerosoft one.

Both seem to have their advantages and a quick Google search for "FSX Heathrow" will yield much more information including videos.

I don't believe Aerosoft has a freeware version of LHR

The OP wants free.

UK2000 has a cut down free version of LHR on the Xtreme product webpage.

Yeah I'll try that since he has a very good way of designing the airports.

Just a note:

You might want to consider an updated AFCAD for use with REX Worldwide Airports-HD!

I have several payware products for Heathrow, but if I didn't I'd be using REX's product for it!

I'm in the middle of a reinstall, but I'll try and post screen shots of Heathtrow with REX Worldwide Airports-HD.

Wouldn't do anything as of right now. LHR is a default "higher detail" airport which REX HD doesn't currently touch. Perhaps as they release the upgraded textures for these default airports it may look different.

True enough!  You know, I thought it was an Enhanced Airport, so I searched (Ctrl-F) the list I provided in the REX WWA-HD thread and it didn't come up!  I searched again for "London" and there it was.

That said, REX is slowly doing the Enhanced Airports, so that will be a nice treat!

Best wishes.
