December 11, 200520 yr Author Well, it's different, and it's very pretty, but it doesn't strike me as very realistic! I guess this is intended. Quite a fantastic job and amazing what Sandon has done. I do wonder though, is there a formula for toning down some of these lighting hues? I flew from Lake Tahoe to Sacramento around sundown, and it looked like what landing on Mercury might be like! I'm glad I have it, and so far it really puts a pretty shine on flights. Very nice indeed. I do find the need to go back to more normal visuals though so it's nice the unstall restores everything. Nice to have parallel universes to fly in!SANDON: since you asked, how about for future revision being able to just apply the sky changes, but not the ground changes, or sky 100%, ground 50% or some slider to control lighting on the ground?Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. December 11, 200520 yr Hi,If you look at your Flight Simulator 9texture folder after installing FSAtmosphere you will note that the installer has backed up your pre-FSAtmosphere files in a folder called fsatmobackup. This folder contains 252 files the names of which make it easy to identify the current files in your Flight Simulator 9texture folder. Just rename this folder and call it something like fsatmobackup (previous textures) or anything that reminds you that these were the files present in your FS9texture folder prior to the installation of FSAtmosphere. Now create a new folder under the FS9texture folder and call it FSAtmosphere files. Open your FS9texture folder and copy the aforementioned 252 files and paste them into the FSAtmosphere files folder. I think by now you will know where I am going with this :) Just copy and paste the 252 files from the relevant folder according to what you want to fly - with the FSAtmosphere files or with the files that were present pre-FSAtmosphere. I note that FSAtmosphere adds an entry into the ADD or REMOVE PROGRAMS section of XP. When and if the time comes, to ensure the complete removal of FSAtmosphere just make sure prior to running the uninstaller that:a) the 252 files currently in the FS9texture folder are those from the FSAtmosphere folder, and:( you rename the fsatmobackup (previous textures) folder back to fsatmobackup. Finally, it's worth pointing out that those of you who may be using programs like ASV need not worry about file overwrites with the FSAtmosphere files as ASV has its own stock of modified files which it draws upon and installs each time you make your selections from within the program. Sorry if this has all seemed a bit long-winded, but you never know what level of experience the reader might have.MikeP.S. For the record, I feel the daytime sky textures are too dark for me and so it is unlikely, as it stands, that I will install these files permanently. However, from time to time it will be nice to be able to enjoy the way these alternative textures light the ground, clouds, aircraft and other objects in the sim. Very nice.
December 12, 200520 yr I purchased this program the other day but decided I liked my original set up better. I find the combo of AS2004.5 and Flight Enviroment to be the perfect como for me. I prefere the darker cool blue tones for twilight as opposed to the rosey redish tone of FS Atmosphere. Also, the noon light is a little too bright for me. I'm really happy with my present setup, but I still try other new programs that come out, just to be sure. This is just my personal preferance. jerrycwo4
