December 8, 200520 yr > If I can recall, during the 2nd World War,1944,I>think?,B-25s,were stationed at the base of this "VOLCANO" .The>mountain blew its top,and destroyed more planes on the ground>than the ##### did. That sounds like a legend, 'cause Mt. Vesuvius is completely quiescent since 79 a.d. (Pompei eruption) :)Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 8, 200520 yr Jim,Can you comment on how this program would work with ASV? Would it over write the active environment textures or visa versa?Brad2 miles from KELP/KBIFhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 8, 200520 yr I'll jump in Brad, as I'm using both....well, just installed 'atmosphere' last night....It does not seem to change ASV at all. In fact, it seems to enhance it.I wouldn't worry about messing up ASV. If you don't like this program I assume it would be an easy uninstall...and if necessry, a reinstall of AVS. Again, just installed it, and am at work right now, but I can take a look at it further. This program is actually very small for what it does..in other words, it isn't replacing allot of textures.
December 9, 200520 yr I am delighted with FS Atmosphere! I use eDimensional 3-D glasses, and never could find any setting of hardware and software that truly compensated for the loss of color quality that invariably comes with the darkening effect of the glasses. But lo and behold! The saturation and intensity of colors that FS Atmosphere brought to my view, does the exact trick that I've been searching for in vain during nearly four years! It takes a bit of fiddling with gamma, contrast and digital vibrance settings of the videocard, but the results are amazing! I can truly recommend FS Atmosphere to all users of eDimensional glasses. The colors! Oh, the colors!Jaap Verduijn.
December 9, 200520 yr Wow ! I stumbled upon this topic when checking out the forum. I am the designer/creator of FS ATMOSPHERE Sandon Lyon. The eDimensional 3-D glasses deal is a great surprise to hear since it was not tested with the product. As for the current version of FS ATMOSPHERE the hard part was to get great color in the summer and less for winter. In the future FS ATMOSPHERE will have more options and be more precise to each season.I have all freeware sky sets and payware. That is the reason I made FS ATMOSPHERE because I was not satisfied with what was currently out. Many customers are happy and there are a very few that have commented on having more options but overall the product is even something I enjoy.I can tell you this ,out of the many that tested the product a big factor that did make a big differance was how the customer sets up the colors for his/her monitor. Which is almost impossible to fix unless I was in front of their screen. The product was created using many real photos of the sky and it was done not the standard way. If you looked at my textures then looked at the way say default FS2004 or any other set up theirs you would see what I am talking about. This product is different in many ways and only the ones that have tired it can see what I mean.I am glad to hear both positive and negitive comments which will help me create a better product in the future.Best RegardsSandon Lyon
December 9, 200520 yr Hi Sandon!Congratulations mate! Your product gives my sim experience a great improvement for very little money!I'm glad that I could post the effects with eDimensional 3-D glasses here. I quite understand that those are not the first things one thinks of when developing a project like FS Atmosphere. So consider it an unexpected bonus: your work is THE solution that I believe many users of 3-D glasses never thought would become available.I am of a fairly unflappable and unexcitable persuasion, but right now I can honestly holler in firm capitals: YOUR PRODUCT MADE MY DAY!Be well!Jaap Verduijn.
December 9, 200520 yr Hi Marco, no its not a legend.Hate to tell ya,I was around in 1944.It did happen. Seen it on RKO path'e news in the movie houses. No TV then.If Ole bear is looking at this ,I don't know about MT Etna. But Mt. Vesuvius blew its top then.Stopped the war for a few days.Ya can't play around with mother nature. It did knock out a number of B-25s there. Now if you think I'm losing it,why go to Google,For the rest of the story.Cheers to you guys VIN :-beerchug PS: If you have the MAAM B-25,they feature a setting of a B-25,flying over that blowtorch, in quieter times.
December 9, 200520 yr Your welcome:-beerchug!Simulation has been a daily part of my life for many years. I understand what most simmers feel is lacking in the sim . I am just trying to put those items in their place. Currently, spending many hrs. a day working on another version for the future with very pleasing results. Best RegardsSandon lyon
