December 10, 200520 yr It's Xmas time again and all my relatives are asking me what to get, and honestly I dont know!! I have a lot of very nice add-ons (check my sig) any reccomendations? I like GA, Medium or Heavy as long as its very realistic, I am a PMDG, LVD quality fan, not a jump in and go dude.
December 10, 200520 yr Andras,The Aeroworx B200 King Air is astonishing. You can get it at www.flight1.com. Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
December 10, 200520 yr Rumour has it that the new FeelThere/Wilco 737-300 will be released next week. If you're looking for an professional, complex airliner - this is the one to get.If you prefer GA, I would get the Cirrus SR-20 from Eaglesoft or the X-treme King Air B200 from Aeroworx.Cheers.
December 11, 200520 yr I guess U know all about CS C-130. But I didn't see it on the list. Captain Sim is through with all the bad habits, they have a forum, a purchase system that works, and the best the best big bird you can imagine!Once you know how to start the a/c it's pretty much jump in and fly, after all it's electricity, air pressure, start, and off you go! No fmc. And it looks fantastic, I'm a fan!Someone told me I shouldn't land the Herc at LCY, but I did:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...19927&mode=fullEagle
December 11, 200520 yr Thanks for all the advice!!I have the cirrus forgot to put that on there woops, I fly mostly on Vatsim so Radar Contact might be out. What do you guys think about the Dreamfleet 727? Its not my type of plane normally, but I might branch out, how is the WX radar? Also im considering the ESDG CX, what you guys think? How limited is the FMC, because on a bird like that the FMC is pretty important. After checking out the C-130 that also looks cool (so many add-ons!!!) has captain sim hammered out the major bugs yet? Thanks for all the help!
December 11, 200520 yr The DF 727 is excellent. It's great fun to fly it around old-school style, VOR to VOR. The systems modeling is good (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical...you'll have to read the book first to bring it up from cold and dark), it looks great, and the flight model is simply superb. And the weather radar is a re-skinned version of the Reality XP WX500...it works. Very realistic. The C-X is a good plane, the FMC is not fully functional though. It'll basically give you V-speeds and track your progress, but it works with the default FS2004 GPS. That hasn't stopped me from enjoying it greatly, it looks and flies great.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina
December 11, 200520 yr Author If you already have yoke/pedals and throttle or Joystick... how about GO FLIGHTs GF-46 if you don't have a HW avionics. in the $100-150 rangeIf you do navigate with VOR and DME or ADF... this is great.http://www.goflightinc.com/order/product_i...4af6eec81f38397 Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
December 11, 200520 yr Didn't notice any Eaglesoft Citations, or the Dreamfleet Baron in your listing. IMHO the Citation X or the Baron are good additions (or anything else from these contributors)Good luck:RTH
December 12, 200520 yr Tell em' you want the same thing everyone else in the entire world wants... a copy of FS10 !!!!!!Let's see if there really is a Santa ClauseBob (Lecanto, Fl)
December 12, 200520 yr Hehe.....I already got my share of hardware this yr, TrackIR3 + vector :)I am really considering the C-130 now, it seems that Captain sim has whipped itself into shape. The Baron looks good, I already have the RXP gauges so I can just get a panel mod and I could downgrade to the Lite if I so wish. The DF727 looks so good also, dam everything looks so good!!Thanks for all the advice!
December 12, 200520 yr Get TRACK IR 4. It has the best bang for the buck. My wife got it for me, and I will open it on Christmas Day. It sounds like it's a phenomenal addon that will be an absolute for flying. I can't wait until I fire it up on December 25.PS. I've researched this extensively on AVSIM. Get it from E-Dimensional so that it helps our important website.
December 12, 200520 yr Author Ron,Are you kidding me? Thats good news. :)Any avionics funcationality addition?Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
