Feelthere 737 classic released!!

Featured Replies

OH THE HUMANITY! THE FLOOR IS BLURRY!Honestly if thats all you can complain about, great job feeltherePersonally I have purchased the airplane and have seen it first hand, the important parts of the VC are not blurry, the night lighting is incredible, the refresh rate and frames are excellent, and with the WX radar on, a little slower but there is a config utility. So in closing, please complain about something important instead of OMG they don't have the correct amount of screws!

Maybe the floor isn't a big deal, but I'd say the gauges are a MINOR DETAIL that should be smooth. They are not. While I appreciate their effort at development, I feel it's not worth the money for a VC-lover.You opinion is as valuable as mine. We all have them. Take them as you want.Randy's view of the VC is about like mine, in fact, I'm probably even more picky than him. My entire hangar consists of: == Airliners ==PMDG 747-400PMDG 737 ( all models )LDS 767-300== GA ==Dreamfleet BaronDreamfleet Bonanza A36Carenado Cessna 182 Skylane RG IICarenado Cessna 206G StationairRealAir Simulations SF.260 ( smooth gauges upgrade )RealAir Simulations Spitfire ( rarely fly it though -- fun one )MAAM-SIM B-25 ( rarely fly it though -- fun one )Bill Lyons Quad City ChallengerOccasionally I fly the MAAM-SIM DC-3 R4D. It's got an update coming soon I hear for the VC :) Can't wait... their FDE is superb. Can't wait for sound package too! That's about it! :)If anyone knows of any other planes with smooth VC's and good flight models, let me know! :)

you do realize you can use the utility program to tweak the VC, right? I get extremely smooth vc gauges

>Some of you are either trying to pick a fight or have an axe>to grind with feelthere.>From where Im sitting, the vc is not a blurry mess, the>refresh rates are not low and my fps is better than the>others.>If you look at the screenshots and read postings about the 737>and do not like it. Dont buy it!>I always read other peoples impressions on a plane before I>buy it. However, if you do not even own it, Im not going to>give your opinion any weight. And Ill give yours even less; I have a different set of what is and isnt important to me in an add on. I love feelThere but I expect PMDG and LDS type VC's for the money they charge. If they dont I dont buy it has nothing to do with picking a fight.

Personally I think the whole "as real as it gets" attitude has gone to far.I have over 10 thousand hours IRL and "its not as real as it gets".Its a simulation and alot of people including the developers are forgetting one thing. Its supposed to be enjoyable.Yippeee I can count the carpet threads and can read the compass serial numbers! I get 3 frames per second and couldnt be happier!Addons are going down the same road as the first person genre. All flash, eye candy,no substance, hype and worst of all, not fun. Some of todays players feel that if the minumum system requirements are not cutting edge uber computer, its got to be crap.Same with the planes. No window reflections, detailed cabin, realistic rivot count, highest rez textures on everything guaranteed to suck your fps dry. Then it sucks.Ok Im done.

It just so happens that PMDG / Level-D / Carenado / Dreamfleet contain the MOST substance of all the addons for aircraft. Not just substance, but they have the 'eye candy' to go along with it, making it a complete package. Therefore worthy of the cost. The addons from Wilco don't have that same worthiness in my opinion.Everyone is different though, some like 2D panels only. If that's the case, more power to ya. I merely stated my opinion from a 3D perspective. This plane lacks a LOT in the VC.

I agree 100% here, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But there is no way you will get fluent gauges if you already have more than 1 vc entries in the panel.cfgIf you don't understand what i am talking about just ask, and i will explain. The refresh rates of the gauges are around 3 fps (NORMAL BECAUSE OF THE 4 VC ENTRIES IN THE PANEL.CFG)which are pretty bad, even with the sliders within the config utility maxed they still are very jerky. The PMDG and Dreamfleet have only ONE vc entry to BEGIN with, so any smart programming will even edorse the good vc framerates.. which it does with the pmdg 747, dreamfleet a36 / b58 and the new pss 777 etc. (VERY smart programming AND intuitive) IMO those are the best around..Anyway, i will just have to suck it up, cause I bought the #### thing and now i'm stuck with it... Regards,Anthony

Yeah its just my opinion and it changes as quickly as the visibilty. All Im trying to say is I can have as much fun with a modest plane than I can with a PMDG.I own all the planes, well just about and take a chance like everybody else and try a new plane. Sometimes its a winner sometimes a dog. Maybe it will run good on my system, maybe it will CTD.But like alot of us, I have a short attention span and even the latest greatest grow old quick and Im always looking for something to bring a breath of fresh air to the stale fs2004.Or maybe its the new plane smell?

That's why they should have built it with that in mind :) If all the more-complex airliners can make their smooth, then the earlier models of the airliner should be even easier. Built them all into the model :) Anyone making a plane for payware should know that Virtual Cockpit flying is become more and more popular as more folks get the TrackIR / Active Camera ( though TrackIR is 100x more intuitive .. and they can both work together, as Active Camera is more than just moving around the VC, just thought I'd clear that up before someone thought I was putting Active Camera down ).

Randy I'm still trying to get a few more updates added to the VC. I'm like you, a stickler for VC graphics and gauge smoothness. The FeelThere 737 is more than acceptable especially when there's more to come... :-)

I hear allot of guys talking about PMDG and for the record the 737NG series is still a little hard in the framerate department on my system. I really wish the 737NG series got one more update if nothing more than to program the VC panel the way they did the 744... :-)Guys the best option I've seen is what Eaglesoft did with the Cirrus. They included a version of the plane that didn't include the 2D panel. Allot of resources can be saved like this (put that together with the VC programming used by DreamFleet and PMDG on the 744 mentioned in this thread). For those that only fly with the VC why have the 2D panel included at all. As long as there's a fully functional VC you don't need a 2D panel which equates to better performance from the VC...

The FeelThere 737 is more than acceptable>especially when there's more to come... :-) More than acceptable to people who want it I guess, Im sure its a great plane for people who dont look for the same things I do. BUt really the most important thing to me is smooth guages; if the VC detail is not as good as some but the guages are smooth then Ill grab it. Its the reason I never fly the Super 80 or SSTSIM Concorde.

Well, I just bought and downloaded it, so I can complain legitimately. It annoys me to no end that Wilco seems to be sitting on their azzes in terms of releasing liveries. ricardo

Not starting a flame war, but for whatever reasons are in place to attack Schaefell, his 737 is pretty near the Dreamfleet panel in looks. By no means all clickable, but a fair amount.Cabin views showing GPS on TV screens and a very nice wing views (left and right through cabin)all add up to a pretty impressive freeware 737.Not perfect, but then again what is???
