December 14, 200520 yr you don't even have to keep renaming the panels.in the aircraft.cfg file make a new entry and the panel= section call it something like panel=easyand in the panel folder you created call it panel.easyso you can just use the aircraft selection window and don't even have to quit the game.personally I try to do everything but only flight planning and FMC programming is what I skip over, using fs navigator to do the exporting. But I enjoy getting fast with the startup procedures, I got good enough to run through the ready for pushback 742 checklist and have engines running ready to taxi in less than 10 mins.
December 14, 200520 yr Thanks Randy... :-) I thought for sure you would be one of the main guys critical of this package. Thanks for understanding... Just to let you know the PMDG 744 has been nothing short of a joy to fly since the patch was released. You guys did an outstanding job... December 14, 200520 yr I do see your point, the only reason I'm considering it is that in my VA, I get assigned to 300s and 400s, and occasionaly the 600s and 700s. I only consider purchasing it because I want a good 300/400 for those assignments.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. December 14, 200520 yr None here Dillion, You are certainly correct. I have wanted one of these for a while now, glad that Feelthere has produced one for us. I see a number of the PMDG beta contributors listed as advisors in the manual ;) knowing them I know they strive for perfection too and know the 737 very well. [h4]Randy J. December 14, 200520 yr What I don't understand is this: half the screenshots on wilcopub's site are of various liveries. Wilcopub couldn't even release one measly additional livery with the plane (instead of just giving folks the dead-ugly Boeing house colors)?Having been thoroughly burnt by Wilco's totally worthless PIC A 320 (not a Feel there product, I know) I think I'll let fellow flightsimmers beta test this plane, then I'll buy it sometime early next year when all the appropriate patches have been released. ricardo
December 14, 200520 yr I am curious how 1) it flies, 2) how the graphics on the panel (2d and VC) are, and 3) how the avionics are modelled. The screenies on the site and here don't tell me much. It looks like they did an accurate job, but I do expect a lot.Having wished DF made a new 737-400, I'm very interested in this product, as it was my favorite ac back in the FS2000 days.
December 14, 200520 yr Been flying it all day and Im having fun.Im not the rivot counting, number crunching kinda guy who dreams about programming the fmc.Overall the interior graphics are good. Not jaw dropping but good.Everything is for the most part easy to read and controllable from the vc.The rear interior is really nice. The flight model feels right and is enjoyable to hand fly.Sounds are very well done and the overall experience is what you would expect flying the plane.I have a high end system running just about every addon there is and frame rates are good.Only real complaint is the lack of additional liveries.IMO its a solid plane and Im having fun flying it.I will leave the analysis of the fmc and avionics functions as to how realistic they are to others. So far, everything is there and works as it should.

The liveries will be released free of charge in a few days - unlike other developers they are FREE OF CHARGE anyway.I have taken this bird on 2 legs today and I am absolutely impressed by the flight model, the panels, the sound, the documentation - everything. I haven't found any major bugs and the FPS are absolutely comparable to the PMDG with the Wx radar turned off. You cannot even compare this to the A320 PIC. That was 3 years ago - time to move on.Cheers,Pat
December 14, 200520 yr This makes no sense to me either: the weather radar is one of the major features of this addon; if I have to turn it off to get decent framerates, that sort of makes the whole thing pointless. ricardo
