December 13, 200520 yr Thanks for the news. Darn, I just arrived at work with eight hours to go. If anyone has some initial impressions, pass them along. Please feed the "cube" rats at work. ;-)
December 13, 200520 yr Oh boy... Not sure I dig the VC or external model based on those shots, I hope it wasn't rushed to make a X-mas release, which is what these shots make it look like.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpgMember of SJU Photography. December 13, 200520 yr I hope they fix the nose problem...Time will tell if this is a good release...I already ordered the full package CD for a mere $34.99, which includes the 737-300/400/500 (an outstanding value these days)!
December 13, 200520 yr Another 37... Don't mind me if I don't run out to get this one. I like the Feelthere products such as the Caravan and the Embraers, but another 737? I understand the 37 is the most popular commercial airliner purchased worldwide, but how many do we need in the FS community? Just go to the Avsim library and do a search for 737 in the FS2004 section and 48 pages of models and repaint come up. Most of it for freeware.I don't mean to sound like a scrooge, but there are so many other great aircraft out there. I am not a developer - I do appreciate the contributions of developers, but I have to ask....Why another 737?Kevin
December 13, 200520 yr It is the 3/4/500 series with the new digital gauges and integrated wxr gauge. No payware has done this and the only other payware 737 that I would consider is a bit dated. Personally, I welcome the 3/4/500 series, just got done downloading my copy. Also, no offence scrooge (kidding) but how can you compare a freeware model with a payware that has 2d, fully clickable VC, Cabin view wingviews and realistic systems simulations? Show me a freeware with a working FMC with VNAV LNAV TCAS Autoland, IRS etc... you are comparing apples to oranges, this is a procedural sim not a hop in and fly freeware model...-PaulLiquid CooledAMD 4000 San Diego2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2Dual 7800 GTX 24 inch widescreen dual 19 inch LCDRaid-0 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 13, 200520 yr Disagree. There's been a gap for a good NewGen series for a long time now. 50N came out with their models, which look good... Erick Cantu has his, and excellent sounds... But there hasn't been a complex panel done for them since Dreamfleet did theirs, which in my books is among the best panels I've ever tried. It was about time that a developer filled that gap by doing a decent NewGen panel. It's a shame that at least visually they lagged on just about everything except the 2D panel. Merge time, I say. :-lolDaniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpgMember of SJU Photography. Most of it for freeware.Yes... and did also a fully featured panel came up?Finally there is again a (I hope) good 733/734/735 panel avaialble. December 13, 200520 yr This is really great news!!! I'm downloading right now and I hope it meets my expectations :)

Go find one with a panel, sounds, virtual cockpit and cabin, fully functional systems.Good luck with that
December 13, 200520 yr Regarding the weather radar - there are 2 other addons that do this - the Majestic Software Dash 8 Q300 and the PSS 777.
December 13, 200520 yr David, communication breakdown...I was saying no one had done a 737-3/4/5 with integrated wxr, not that no one had done integrated wxr.-PaulLiquid CooledAMD 4000 San Diego2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2Dual 7800 GTX 24 inch widescreen dual 19 inch LCDRaid-0 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 13, 200520 yr >no offense but WHAT are you talking about? Go find one with a>panel, sounds, virtual cockpit and cabin, fully functional>systems.>>Good luck with thatNone taken.... I did in the form of the PMDG 737 series. Fully Functional...? What is that? Vendors have done wonders trying to simulate full functionality of every aspect of an aircraft. But lets be reasonable, FS9 will only let you do so many things until it becomes dummy switches just for the sake of fliping switches. So I continue to ask the question that no one can answer. Why add another 737 to the mix when there are already plenty of 737's available? I guess you must be a 737 fanatic and welcome another. Personally, I would rather see something else. It is called variety, and I hear it is the spice of life.:DKevin
December 13, 200520 yr Kevin, we have all answered it.It is the same thing as doing a 777-200 and a 777-300 the same reason we have payware 747-200 and 747-400, a beech 1900C and a beech 1900D, They are DIFFERENT planes. The one you are referring to (which is payware and completely contradicts what you were saying earlier) is the NG series 737 6/7/8/900 the new one is the 737 3/4/5. Different models different planes. Man go fly an airbus or something, we all answered your question. As for fully functional, LVL-D is used by commercial simulators as is the feelthere ERJ. FS is not just about dummy switches anymore.-Pauloops left out we are now going to have multiple 757's and 777's done by different developers as well. Not to mention how many GA 172's we have. Personally I love having so much variety with a/c and vendors. This is the best flurry of add-ons I ever remember in FS. Welcome it, don't question it... December 13, 200520 yr Yep and this is why I just purchased it. While it is true they are very alike in systems (If FMC software is updated) they still handle differently. [h4]Randy J.
