I'm basically a General Aviation guy, but I think I'll have to download this aircraft sometime this evening. It looks incredible.....and quite unbelievable for freeware.

Hey all, Have to agree, just downloaded the full package, and having recently purchased FeelThere's 737 and been slightly un-impressed by their VC, I have to say this one is fantastic and its a joy to fly. I can see myself stepping back in time for a while!

When I try to download I get a message saying "the target machine actively refused my download and connection failed".I am getting this with a number of downloads using DAP so its something in my system anyone any ideas please?Peter

Michael,The problem seems to lie in the sound files (atleast on my machine). As soon as I aliased the 1-11 to another soundset (the default 737) I was able to fly around as much as I pleased.Untill a fix is released, you should be able to work around the problem by doing the same. Just find a soundset that sounds "good enough" for you :)

what a great freeware model and panel, i think it is really awesome with very nice flight dynamics and so easy on the frame rate as well.

Superlative. Real bitmaps for the VC makes the VC and 2D panel exactly the same including the side views. Flies beautifully as well. I'm totally impressed with this package. Big thumbs up to David for this baby.

The new BAC 111 by David Maltby is very, very nice. Just in time for the Christmas package tours, the cheap ones, LOLOne of the best!Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/

This is superb. Stunning cockpit (2D and VC) wonderful sounds and very convincing flight dynamics. And, as others have said giving frame rates to die for. One of the best 3 releases of any kind for FS? Thank you David.Gareth Evans

Hi, Peter.I am assuming you are using DAP with Firefox, if true this may help. Many sites are refusing to accept DAP, and I ended up just using the built in downloader, very risky. You can move / copy

Hi, Peter. If you just use DAP you may want to try:Tools>Options>Connections>Normal speed and, or >>Bandwidth>Normal or Limited. TV

Just had a quick trip from Belfast to Isle of Man, this is fantastic, a huge thank you to David for this. I have a mate who's Dad flew these, can't wait till he sees it. Also for info, there's an interesting chapter on these planes in Brian Trubshaw's autobiography "Test Pilot" including a report on the tragic accident during development.John

Yes! the aircraft is truly superb in all departments.David Maltby is to be applauded for this! For people having trouble with the sounds - I would bet my house that you are all using the Audigy 2 ZS. This card and the creative drivers have problems. The BAC-111 sounds simply souldn't crash the card like that, and it is really difficult to trace the reason why (other Audigy cards seem ok).I can only think that the problem is down to a combination of creative's drivers and that particular card, because like I say, wave files should not crash the card - they are only .wav files!I now use the KX Project drivers for my Audigy 2 ZS and I don't have any problems anymore - some people actually say the KX drivers are better - you can get them from here. http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.phpThe download link is at the right hand side of the page - Version 5.10.0.3537 seem to be the latest and I have not had one problem since installing them about four months ago - MP3 quality played through WinAmp is superb! You can believe me, these KX drivers WILL fix the crashing problem!Creative don't seem to be able to write drivers for their own cards these days!EDIT - the only downside I have found is that I don't think the KX drivers fully support all those fangled EAX effects that are used in some of the newer games - but I have never missed it. Recently played FS2004, GP Legends, X3, Pacific Fighters and a few more, all sounds were great, full 5.1 support.

I'm not really into airliners at all...I'm about GA, bush flying, warbirds, military, heck, pretty much everything but airliners. But this is an incredible aircraft.

It is indeed a very nice package. I only wish the VC was properly lighted though. It's completely useless at night... ;(
