Any news of a P3D v3 installer for this beauty?

It's still my favourite single in FSX - would be a shame if it cannot be flown in P3D v3.

It can. Just point the installer to P3D

Thanks, Ron, but no option to select the destination folder. My installer checks my email and serial number and then installs directly into FSX.

The later FSX Service Pack does have a destination option though.

Thanks, but, er, no thanks!  :wink:

I tried this dodge before with an FSX scenery and got into all kinds of trouble when I later tried to install a different FSX scenery into FSX!

I'm sure, in capable hands, it can be made to work, but it's not for me.

I'll just have to make do with the V-tail. It's not a bad plane either.

Once the plane is install in FSX simply copy (or mve) all the relevant F33 folders into the P3D folder, e.g. sounds, gauges etc.

Works perfet with the F33 (and all other Carenado/Alabeo planes)

Sorry but it doesn't work perfect that way. It almost does though, so thanks!

My yoke works, and my rudder pedals but not the GoFlight throttle quadrant. If I select a different plane the throttle quadrant is fine.  So there must be something not quite right about the F33 'installation'.  I can use the VC throttles with the mouse but it irritates the heck out of me.

EDIT

All sorted. Seems to fly perfectly so far.   :smile:

glad it did work (hope you have installed the highly recommended FDE update as well!)

Yes I did.

Only problem so far is absence of nav, beacon and strobe lights. Taxi and landing lights work.

Yes, I am testing at night.  :wink:

I installed it, didn't follow Ron's instructions( should have )decided to have a go the same as installing Alabeo Stuff, just point it at the c: drive and in sets up a folder, this just put all the folders , ie airplane, fonts gauges, etc. in the c drive, after searching for them just copied them all over, now working ok.

landing lights abit dim that's all.

and there's always the alternative FDE to download.

Make sure that you copied over the effects as well..

Here is the Lights section from my aircraft.cfg file:

[lights]

//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

light.0 = 3,  -1.4, -15.4, 1.7, fx_navredcareefetres,

light.1 = 3,  -1.4,  15.4, 1.7, fx_navgrecareefetres,

light.2 = 3, -19.15,   0.0 , 1.8, fx_navwhiefetres,

light.3 = 2,  -1.0, -15.2, 1.6, fx_strobecareefetres,

light.4 = 2,  -1.0,  15.2, 1.6, fx_strobecareefetres,

//light.5 = 1,  -9.6,   0.4, 3.2, fx_beaconefetres,

light.5 = 1, -9.5, 0.3, 3.2, fx_beaconefetres,

light.6 = 10, -2.0, 0, 2.50, fx_vclightefetres
