Dave,Make sure you have a sound folder within your X:/..../aircraft/iFly747 folder. If I'm not mistaken the sound.cfg file inside this sound folder should direct to the default 737 sounds. You can alias it to any of the excellent 747 sound packages available in this site.Once more. Anyone know of a flight planner that can export a IFR plan to the FMC for this jet? Although I can manualy input the flight plan into the computer, it is so much easer to be able to use a planner with export capability.Thanks,jim

Mauricio,I am not able to get any kind of acceptable frame rates with this aircraft (unfortunately) but I did check the yoke and ailerons for you. I engaged the captains side CMD and heading hold, alt hold, etc. I did not have any movement other than what is expected. No erratic behavior. I have PIII800, 512SDRAM PC133, FX5600XT/256M, Win98SE.Hope this (a little) :-) Bill Learning,Thanks so much for the cfg file. I tried it but I guess my machine is just too low end. I'm getting between 4-5 FPS in all views, even the side views.Oh well. Maybe they will have a new version before long. I can try again. Shame though. Thanks Earl. In my case, the yoke swings left and right at high speed continuously while the A/P is engaged. I'll have to check but I think it happens (or is more noticeable) when I compress time to 4X. On spot view you can see the ailerons doing the same thing and the aircraft shifts from side to side abruptly. I have tried yaw damper, and aileron trims but no cigar. It ends when I disengage the autopilot. Maybe it has something to do with sensitivity settings on my CH yoke? I'll keep testing. Meanwhile I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this.Thanks again.Mauricio

Great to read this!I contacted them as well and they're very polite and informative!Though I de-installed the 747 (too many quirks, I keep on using PMDG's ;-) ) it's one of the most promising freeware projects to me ever.Hope iFly keeps indeed improving her, this could make it to one of the very best freeware projects for FS of all times one day (the project has matured very far yet, so abandoning it would be a pretty bad idea IMHO)!Andreas

Another bug I noticed was wehn setting elevator trim....its gauge moves in the opposite direction on the Center Pedestal...but on the model it is animated correctly same for the fligh model....virtualsuboy

hi guys i flew from klax-ksan 30% fuel load....i got the insufficientfuel msg but it cleared and never reappeared....the trim reads.. up is down...down is up..the flt went great and the loc and glide locked on no probs..no bobbing up and down as reported in a thread..autoland by the numbers...ive put icons on the panel to open overhead, throttle,fmc,ectto save me using the keyboard...im putting in a gauge that reads the GW.and ZFW and converts lbs to kgs and vice versa...nice a/c i have the pmdg 747 as well...thanx folksemdo

I'm not able to get the landing/taxi lights to show while in VC mode. Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone suggest a fix?Thanks in advance

Okay Very late with the reply....couple of times could not login on avsim forums....and WORK......Oka I tried the a/p on my usual VAAH-VABB route and did not find anything wrong with the ailerons...checked it in external view and in 2d panel on the EICAS....I noticed that you dont get the insufficient fuel message if you start ifly 747 with engines running. But cold and dark gives you taht msg....imagine 170tons wasnt enough to get me from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, a short 1 hr flight.....I still havent seen the engine failure bug.....troied autoland at VABB once but found flare is engaged pretty late....But it could be my mistake with DH and sppeds in FMCAny news on updates and patches from the devs ???
