Hello,

almost Every flight im gerting oom errors at my landing and im getting very tired of it. So Will my problem solve if i switch to p3d? And so Yes, what version do you suggest to purchase? A lot of people say v4 BUT im Not Sure what addons i can use already for example the pmdg aircraft, activesky, Orbx and flytampa.

thx for the help and advice in advanced.

If your main reason for a switch is avoiding oom then you absolutely have to get v4. Only this is 64bit software that will get rid of all VAS limitations.

I think Karsten @Farlis is on the mark, but I would add that you should check that your system is up to spec.

I plan to be swapping platforms very soon mostly for the reasons you give.

v4 certainly the way to go for the OOM cure, provided you have installed enough RAM as that would be your only limitation now.  16GB would probably be ok although on my last build I went 32 (Occasionally been at 20-25Gb used in XP which is also 64 bit - went a lil nuts with scenery ).  Just keep in mind some addons require either an FSX to P3D upgrade/transfer license and others like PMDG, its an entirely separate product for P3D.  If I've been following along these forums correctly all the addons you listed are already v4 capable except PMDG stuff, with the exception of the 747 being just released I think last night.

I am a FSX user too. I got OOM's when flying certain long haul flights to certain destinations. I will be making the switch to P3Dv4 once I get my PC up and running again.

If you are like me and have a large library of add-on scenery, the switch from FSX to P3Dv4 is a no brainer in my opinion. FSDreamTeam, Orbx, Flightbeam Studios, Taxi2Gate and FlyTampa will provide you will P3Dv4 versions of all your current airports. This makes making the switch a lot cheaper than I expected. I own PMDG aircraft for FSX so that means I will have to purchase all my aircraft for P3D. Same goes for ActiveSky16 and Cloud Art...if you do not own the P3D versions of the product you will have to purchase them again when switching.

As others have stated already, make sure your PC is up to the task. Me personally, I have a quad core i5, 16gb ram and replacing my GTX 650ti SC with a GTX 1070 (MSI Gaming X).

Probably best to check with each devs site to see what you'd need.  You may need AS16 to work with v4 - not sure if ASN will support.

All information that you need is in that link. Per Avsim TOS, there will be no further discussion of the EULA.
