If I buy this, my intention initially is to just try and use it as it comes and then maybe add some of my ORBX scenery and various airplanes. I have lots of space on my internal SDD hard drive, which also has FSX. My system is pretty high end and I have 12 GB of memory with room to add another 4 GB if necessary. My initial intention is to just try and learn the program and see how it performs. Thanks for any thoughts. Tom Tom, P3D has a 90 day refund policy so you can try it risk free. Why not just do that? Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. Windows 11 Pro loaded on a 4TB Gen5 Crucial T700 SSD, 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, AS Rock X670e Taichi Motherboard, Gigabyte Gaming RTX 4090 OC 24GB, 64GB (2x32GB) Viper Venom DDR5-6000MT/s, MSI 32" MAG 321UPX QD-OLED 260hz 4K Gaming Monitor.
July 9, 20178 yr Not any more difficult than FSX, and as mentioned you don't have to tweak so overall easier I would say Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

As far as I am concerned, it is finally the long awaited FSXI. Orbx scenery is the easiest to migrate over, since FTX Central will do all the work for you. A number of airplanes are now available as V4 compatible and can simply be installed into P3D.. no particular problems. The visuals need a little bit of attention.. for me, turning off FXAA and selecting 4XSSAA did the trick. Unlike FSX, you can make all the graphics choices in the sim.. no external tools required. This is a great release IMHO... nice lighting, no popping autogen trees, addictive.. Once the GNS/GTN gauges are available, FSX will get little use on my system. Bert

Tom, Since you posted the same topic on Tuesday and then started a same new topic again today, I merged both of the topics together to make it easier for you to follow the input users are giving you. Going forward, if you start a topic for a specific issues, it would be easier to just stick to the same topic rather than starting an identical one a few days after if you still have questions pertaining to the same issues.
