Nope.  Did you run the installer with admin rights... it has to change the dll.xml in the P3D appdata section.

Same here with the newest installer on FSX SE.

What's the proper DLL.xml entry so we can add it ourselves for the time being?

edit: Tried adding this to dll.xml, got the confirmation pop up when starting FSX but the HUD is still dead in the sim:

  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>PMDG Hud Interface</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

Some Googling gave me the proper dll.xml entry. Now it works in the sim:

  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>PMDG HUD interface</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll</Path>
    <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
    <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>

  • 2 weeks later...

mine doesnt work either.... but im stupid with computers how do i add the dll.xml

Is the HUD an option with your selected livery? Not all airlines bought this option, and those that didn't will normally have the HUD inactive if the livery has validated settings for that carrier. There's a little notepad icon next to the livery titles in the Livery Downloader page of the Ops Center that will tell you if the livery has airline specific settings.

Either way, check that it's active through the PMDG Setup/Equipment Options page in the FMS. It's listed in the menu as "HGS Installed" and of course you want it to be "Yes".

Send PMDG a support ticket, you've been going round and round the forums for so long now with no solution.
