Bert helped me out via email...  he put the GNS500 in his... and it works really well in here!  I've been totally spoiled by the GTN's and even the newer GNS530W with the comm/nav on the unit.

This one is older but still very functional.

This is totally brilliant..

Not only does the new RXP GPS500 look great in the B60:

gauge19=rxpGNS2!GPS_500_1, 50, 660, 360, 240,VC_settings

gauge20=CustomB60!GPS_Buttons, 0, 0, 1, 1

with:

In the RealityXP.GNS.ini file for the B60:

[GPS_500_1]
...
; uses Simulator GPS commands if true.
UseSimGpsCmds = true

and

[GPS_500_1.VC_Settings]
; show screen only gauge if true.
nobezel = true

For everyone using Bert's no=bezel option for the GNS 500 the coordinates below make the RXP unit fit even nicer:

gauge19=rxpGNS2!GPS_500_1, 40, 650, 370, 274,VC_settings.

Cheers, Bert

One more addition:

The Cursor button (middle mouse click on lower right knob, or hidden click spot..)

   (L:mdlCrsrButton,bool) if{
   0 (>K:GPS_CURSOR_BUTTON)
   0 (>L:mdlCrsrButton,bool)  }

Hi Bert,

Followed your instructions. So far so god. 😀

Can you please tell me where the GPS_Buttons gauge needs to go? Is it the gauges folder? Tried that but without luck.

P3d v4.3

The duke ist not istalled  inside the main p3d folder.

If you install it as I did, the xml gauge goes into a customb60 folder inthe panel folder or the gauges folder, your choice.

Bert

Thanks Bert,

Its working now! 😁

Hi Bert,

I had this working in my FSX, now I have P3DVv4 and I have tried to put your modification in my Duke, I end up with the complete 500 bezel and all occupying the screen area. I got your mod package from you and followed the directions.

Hmm.. can you supply a screenshot?

Send to me via email if you like... I have it working OK in P3DV4.5

Bert

Hi Bert, I can't figure how to put screenshot on this forum. I can email it to you but don't have your email.
