Simbol. I quoted what Chris said and from what i understood he said that 600-700 work with legacy lights...I guess he was suggesting that the half way is for PMDG to implement legacy in 600/700 in the FUTURE... __________________________________________________________________________________________ My FS Photos - My MSFS Settings - i7-14700K / 64GB RAM / MSI 4070 Ti SUPER / 1440p

Maybe, I don't own this model as I have only the 737-800 NGX, and all I can tell you is that this model has only DL lights. If what you are experiencing is that you don't see any lights at all with DL disabled it means that your models don't have legacy lights installed. October 16, 20178 yr I see the legacy lights with the 600/700 models but not the 800 model when DL is off Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR

Maybe they have now implemented only DL lights for the 737-600 / 700 so the situation is now the same for both models! an improvement! don't you love updates? October 16, 20178 yr I am still on P3D 4.0 and have not yet updated my PMDG NGX. I do not know why the 600/700 have both legacy lights (DL off) and DL (when switched on in the sim) as they refer back to the 800 base model. Simbol hehe indeed... So we are at the "rollback era".. Rolling back w10 KBxxxxx and PMDG micro updates... NGX 600 series, downloaded 5 days ago form PMDG. Here are the dynamic lights in action. 82 FPS on the screenshot. Dynamic lights off - frames possible 2-3 per second higher. Dynamic lights off, "lights illuminate ground" setting on - NO illumination of the ground at all, just some light textures on the side of the plane. Completely black from the cockpit. Conclusion: the current build of the NGX 600 series does not include legacy lighting that illuminates the ground. You can see lights when you look at the exterior model, and there is a texture change on the side of the aircraft - but they're not lights that do anything useful. Conclusion2: Don't try to take off in the NGX from GA87 Sugar Creek Airpark when you have pax and fuel on board. It's just where I was in my Commanche when I was reading this thread, and thought I check the lights situation. Achieved positive rate, and almost cleared the trees... almost. October 16, 20178 yr Thanks for testing. Could you also try the -700 model, just to make sure that there is no difference between the two models. Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR

Chris, I'll do it, but next time can you please ask when I'm at a bigger airport? I've already had one hull loss tonight, thanks to y'all. Here's the first visit by a 700-series NGX (in Southwest Classic colors) to 57NC Sossamon Field. Dynamic lights are on in the pic. WIth the lights off, she's exactly the same as the 600 described above ie. no illumination of the runway at all, but you can see 'lights' on the wings. Now wish me luck for this takeoff...
