November 8, 20178 yr This was an online flight (Pilot Edge) VNY to L35. I didn't have time for screens at the start of the flight so I canceled IFR as I got closer and was able to do some shots. Orbx SCA, Baytower RV7 + RXP GNS530W, Turbulent Designs L35. Shameless plug - it also features a mod Bert and I have been working on which makes the new RXP GNS530W v2 work in the VC of the Baytower RV7. I'll probably have a drop link over at the rxp subforums once it's done. While I had missed the old GNS530 I'm really glad we have the GTN - I prefer it over the ole 530 hehe! November 11, 20178 yr Author Thanks guys, I'm glad the little RV still works in P3D - though with a few mods hehe! Next I'll try to get the Lotus L39 working - does anyone know if it does? I'd like to try to get the GTN650 in it. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 11, 20178 yr Moderator Nice shots Ryan. When I lived in SoCal I’d flown there a few times doing some solo cross country work. I usually flew there from Apple Valley (KAPV) which was a fairly short flight. My first time going up there was my first time venturing into the mountains solo and it was a little cloudy. After trying to dodge a few clouds I decided I better turn back than risk getting caught up in some low visibility stuff and end up putting myself into the side of the mountain. The ORBX version looms pretty good compared to real life . Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
