Overland - Airplane Package

Featured Replies

Was at Overland web site and noticed they are planning to put out a package called "Fly into the sky! World Airlines." Price 6800yen Release date Sales on April 28, 2006 Media CD-ROM*2http://www.overland.co.jp/english/sms/w-airlines.htmlTheir free MD-11 was one of the best with good VC. This package set looks equally as good with . Their scenery is also very good. Curious if anyone has any additional informattion like the VC, 2d, etc. Thanks,Carl

Good lord that looks like a nice package. What is 6800 Yen, about 68 U.S.? I agree Carl, the MD-11 was/is beautiful. Edit: Looks like about 57 U.S.Todd

I'll have to wait and see what their VC's and models look like for the many birds offered with this package. I found it odd they didn't show anything but the 744 VC in their screenshots section. If the other VC's look just as good as the 744 then this may be the 'lite' add-on to get (especially for the A320 series aircraft). The MD11 was great in that it had a nice FDE to go along with a very nice looking model both inside and out. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the rest of "Fly into the sky! World Airlines." looks like... :-)

It looks pretty good :). I applaud SMS for supporting FS2002 users ... they haven't forgotten us :)

Just have to wait and see. I hope it can be sold as a download. Carl

Did they ever upgrade their MD11 to have wingviews? I really liked that plane from Overland but they didnt have WVs so I went for the iFDG one.

Not worth

Their MD-11 is really nice. Brought it out of the hangar after reading this thread. And some nice paints simmers have provided. The only thing I noticed it is pitched at a high angle while flying level. Was there ever a flight dynamics update ever produced by anyone? Also, while on autopilot the auto throttle tends to rev up and down quite a bit. But hey, it's a nice freebie. And good sound sets you can download for it.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

-------------------------------------------The only thing I noticed it is pitched at a high angle while flying level.-------------------------------------------If you are a hardcore uber-realistic simmer then stop reading this reply...now :(If not: select Unlimited Fuel and then empty all your fuel tanks & payload. This fixes all the excessively high-attitude cruise problems I have had. Also you can tweak your aircraft.cfg (back it up first!)Find the (flight tuning) section and then:cruise_lift_scalar=1.6000 <-----increase this valueMess with that figure and it should fix the nose-up attitude. That fix also sorted out problems I've had with airliners pretending to be rockets. I know in real life they do cruise slightly nose up but mine were exessive!

Can someone please post some screenshots of the various VC's???Thanks... :-)

The 744 VC is still the only one shown... Why do those 2D panels look so closely like existing freeware panels located here on Avsim and other FS related sites???
