LOL....well, that doesn't sounds good if you don't recommend...LOL.... As far as I can see there isn't a  place where I can delete complete PMDG and start fresh since I don't have them under programs. So not sure what is the solution. I guess this is all odd.

With exception of adding liveries, (I have them all installed and not worried at the moment), I still have an option to go under PMGD updater when update becomes available....I hope. If not not sure what would be the next step. It appears it's first time for you guys hearing this....

I've used that method of "resetting" the OC.  The OC keeps cache files of your configuration and I've had instances of OC being out of sync with configuration probably as a result of doing odd things during beta testing.

Well either way I am stuck and not sure what to do. Can't re-install, since I have nothing listed under programs (?!), and I have no OC (functional), but everything works...... Sounds like catch 22

Why are you stuck?  I though I read Chris telling you to delete all files in the OC folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\PMDG Operations Center) except the updater, then run the updater.  This is equivalent to downloading and installing a fresh copy of the OC.  Try it?

But he says that he is not recommending at this moment.....

Yes. As mentioned, I knew it wouldn't help here. There's something causing the OC to not be able to see where your sims are installed.

Thanks Kyle,

I had to create the ticket last night and already got quick response from them and sent them some files, so will see where the issue is.

Thanks again

I'm jumping in a bit late here - but this same issue JUST happened to me.

New computer purchased in January so everything installed fresh.  I am running P3D4.2 on Win 10.  All of my PMDG aircraft are fine in the sim.  They are suddenly all missing from the Ops Center EXACTLY as described by the OP.

I checked each PMDG aircraft individually to verify they are not in the Ops Center.  I also have never run the Ops Center as admin and it has always worked.  I agree that something has changed either through a Win update OR the wonderful Support Assist program pre-installed by Dell on Alienware machines.  I'm thinking that it's 'optimization' process must have deleted a registry setting or file that the Ops Center uses to 'see' the sim.

So - PMDG is there a particular reg setting or file used by the Ops Center that I should check for?

Thanks,

Keith Lovell

Go into Add/Remove Programs and look for our products. Are they listed in the uninstall list?

(NOTE: Do NOT uninstall/reinstall anything yet, please. I just need to know if they're listed.)

Run the installer again and se if you have the repair option. If you have do this, otherwise select the install. This happens if the registry entries are wiped from the registry. Reinstalling will help

PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

Hi Kyle,

They are NOT listed in add/remove programs.  I suspect that the associated reg entries were deleted by the pre-installed support assist tool that I mentioned earlier.

Thanks,

Definitely sounds like it. We've seen a bunch of this reported in support. I'd suggest a full uninstall/reinstall of our products (make sure to download the latest installers from your store account too).

Thanks Kyle, I'll go ahead and do that.

Thanks,

Keith Lovell
