For those who still have issues when loading the queen into P3Dv4.2 and are using chaseplane you can give this a try:

Open chaseplane from desktop:

Switch back from "experimental mode" to "normal mode" and untick in preference menu "start chaseplane with P3D"

If the Queen loads successfully now close the sim open chaseplane again and change back to experimental mode and tick the autostartoption again.

In my case eventmanager pointed with kernelbase error directly to chaseplane and that procedure fixed it.

Hope it helps

My twist on this issue is the initial UI doesn't load at all and just ctds.

I am also suffers on CTD during flight with P3D V2. (Fresh installed 1 week ago)

Orbx Global & LC, Aerosoft LSZH, FSUIPC5 5.124, nothing else yet, GTX 1060.

Even by start with stock F-22 Raptor.

Appreciate and thank you for your further investigations, as I adore flying PMDG.

Very different issue, as v2 is a very different sim. The 744 isn't even supported in it.

What is in the crash report?

Kyle Rodgers

Sorry, I did mean P3D V4.2.

How can I create a crash report you asking for?

Windows 7 and 10:

1. Go to the Start Menu and type "view all problem" into the search box - click "View All Problem Reports" when it appears as a search result.

2. Find the simulator in the list of programs, and double click on the latest crash report.

3. Click in the detailed area and press Ctrl+C to copy the data.  Paste it into a reply with Ctrl+V.

Previous Windows Versions:

1. Go to the start menu and type "problem" into the search box - click "Choose how to report problems" when it appears as a search result.

2. Select the third option "Each time a problem occurs, ask me before checking for solutions" and press OK.

3. Now reproduce the crash and this time when the window pops up, there should be a small arrow at the bottom, press it and it will show you the detailed crash information.

4. Click in the detailed area and press Ctrl+C to copy the data.  Paste it into a reply with Ctrl+V.

hey guys, same issue here. Crashes with active sky + pmdg 747 v3 P3dv4.2 and is stable without Active sky. I did update the nvidia driver today. but I installed pmdg 747 right after. So will need to try out with older driver.

didn't help. The only approach that works is loading default aircraft then selecting pmdg 747. I thought that was fixed with the hotfix. I reinstalled and got the update from pmdg operation center. Still same issue.
