Not likely to rebuy this aircraft just for some minor changes. $15 off? Nope. $15 upgrade fee, probably.

It’s not just minor changes. Textures, trueglass etc. And the original was always a fun plane to fly. I’m in.

My log shows 39.4 hours logged in my C310 since 3/14/13.  My goto twins remain as the Realair Turbine Duke v2 and the Milviz Baron B55.  If I can get my USAF U-3 livery with the redeux then I might consider.  Otherwise I have both  GNS and GTN configured versions of their C310 parked and ready to fly.

Give me a credible "Blue Canoe" livery and I might lose sleep until I purchase.

Frank,

Heard back from Colin over at Milviz and he indicated that the "Original" and the Redux version should be fine loaded together on the same rig. Also he confirmed that paints for the "Original" will not work on the new Redux.

Yes, their page still shows "Coming Soon", the 50% discount for previous owner applies only if you bought it from Milviz, however you will still get a lesser discount if purchased from another vendor, al least that is what was posted in another thread according to Milviz?

The email sent out today had two links, 1 for an upgrade to the "standard" C310 which can be downloaded and installed, fixes a few things. And the other link is for the new Redux version which doesn't appear to be released yet according to their website, although it looks like it might of been live earlier today for a short period?

Looks very nice from the screen shots!

Martin

Hmm, wonder what that lesser discount is going to be...

I wonder why a lesser discount at all. No matter where, everyone bought the same aircraft ?

Martin,
Did he mention any specific way to install so not to overwrite the original?

There is no way. Back up your added repaints and your aircraft.cfg as well as any personal tweaks. It's the same with any Milviz.

No, I can only assume the Redux version files are named different but he didn't say? Once they release the Redux version I'll give it a go and see what happens. Too bad the paints for the original C310 won't work on the new Redux. And like Ron mentioned make backups.

And.. based on the screenshots, they are still refusing to acknowledge the actual shape of the GTN 750 and 650 surrounds.

These units are designed so that you can "grip" them with your hand... something Milviz likes to ignore..

Is that truly an issue?  It's not like we can grip our monitors hehe :)

Depends on what you like to see in your panel - I guess it matters to some (maybe not to others..)

"Minor changes?" Nope, this was a total rebuild from the tires up. Seriously!

We deliberately have configured this Redux to allow customers to keep their existing C310R installed if they wish. There is no conflict whatsoever.

I'm not entirely sure what you're actually concerned about Bert, but if you mean a "sculpted look" then yes, the side 'gripping' contours are present. They are just difficult to see in the sim:
