My first repaint - Milviz Cessna 310 R

Well, I survived my first venture into repainting. I can see a lot to improve but overall I'm pleased.

Someone did a Blackbird for the old 310 so I decided to do my take on it.

Thanx for the help!

Vic

I like it!  Good job. Let me know when it will be in the library.

Thank you,

Thanx!  It was a challenge but lots of fun. I uploaded it a few hours ago - not sure how long it takes before it's available.

Looks good Vic. At first glance I thought it was the Playboy bunny on the tail of the first photo!

Thanx Ted. I thought about it but I'd guess there'd likely be some copyright issues.

I think so! I found myself looking at other aircraft and wondering what if.....

Gotta really practice with the PS path tool though - need smooth curves.

Thinking about the Carenado AeroCommander 650 - another that I've flown IRL years ago.

Hmmmm........

Copyright issues ??
A hobbyist painting a bunny on the tail of a sim aircraft livery ??
No that will give you no problems.
When that kinda things are giving problems we can stop repaining.
I used the Playboy bunny myself on a repaint , I even added a  "Playboy-Centrefold" in the interior instead of a map wich unfolds on the lap of the pilot.
As long as you are not using copyrighted material for commercial activities, just go ahead , nothing wil happen.

I downloaded the livery a moment ago.
Absolutely not bad for a start.

Must say its all very black.(De-icing surfaces look OK)
Its better to use the layers with the lines and rivets to bring more life to the plane.
As the lines and rivets-layers are in almost balck they do not show on the black airplane.
Try this:
Just make the layers with the lines and the rivets less black ( slightly grey )
Black paints are really difficult.
Herewith a screen from my Mu livery , mind the greys riverts and lines.

Cheers

I just applied a black layer which covered everything.   I believe there's a layer named rivets. If I understand the layers I'm not sure how I can make just the rivets less black. I guess I can play around with moving the rivets above my black layer and see what happens. I was looking at some videos about color burn and hue and saturation layers - perhaps I can brighten the rivets so they show through more. I'll play around.

Thanx for the comments,

Vic

Select the rivets-layer , then  go to brightness -settings and increase the brightnes to dark grey .

OR set the layer to negative, rivets will turn to white, then reduce the opacity of the layer.

I'll keep playing but other than turning it on or off, nothing seems to affect the layer.
