July 31, 200619 yr Glad to hear SimFlyers is still around. I do not like what I saw in the forum, especially someone posting under my name. I hope that is dealt with!

I also appreciate your understanding about the forum thread here as it is quite easy to see where I was wondering there for a bit. I was hoping one of you would see it and shed light :-)Looking forward to BFI and whatever else you guys have to produce. And if you need a volunteer to provide a forum for you, I'd be happy to oblige. I have more than plenty of experience with forum administration. Just see my forum at http://puebloaviation.org for an example :-)If I were you, I'd nuke the links in your "under development" area so people aren't stumbling into that nasty content that's posted there . . . my best advice -- just FTP the forum and rip the whole folder out :-P Some of the stuff being posted in there is enough to get Simflyers a serious bad name with the community -- possibly worse :-(
July 31, 200619 yr >I think you're missing the point a bit. Communication with>their customers and product news are 2 different things.>>If you had checked their forums, when was their last post?>>You see my point?>I have a feeling you missed the point, too, Jeff... or at least missed the proverbial boat. Your domain name(onlinesimulationsolutions.com), has apparently expired. Now there are *two* good developers who seem to have gone 'out of business'. I check your forums every day for new development and was surprised to see it no longer existed. Hurry and renew, Jeff. There's usually a grace period on these things and its only been expired since 27 July. Good luck.
July 31, 200619 yr Me thinks you need to check it again and refresh your browser...LOL.It works for me. Jeff D. Nielsen (KMCI) https://www.twitch.tv/pilotskcx https://discord.io/MaxDutyDay VENGEANCE a8200 Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5, 4TB (2TB/2TB) M.2 SSD, Win11 Pro
July 31, 200619 yr >Me thinks you need to check it again and refresh your>browser...LOL.>>It works for me.Jeff:Ummm... be careful about being flippant too quickly. Even your signature graphic is not showing up since your domain is no longer accessible. http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/6880/fs...83520343ax9.jpgHere's a quick rundown for your domain. Unless you've just re-registered it in the last hour, it's expired. http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/8015/fs...83831828xc1.jpgMethinks you need to refresh your own browser; the stuff that you're looking at is obviously cached.
July 31, 200619 yr Yes I understand it's up for renewal. And thanks for the reminder.Everything does seem to be working though. Now for the second thing. If you ever, I mean ever post my personal info or my partners info again, you are, and in fact you will now be in a world of hurt.I could care less if it's legal and/or already published.Bubba, you crossed the line there! I reminded you because I check your forums everyday as a paying customer of ALL of your sceneries. Now you're threatening me with who-knows-what because I posted information that's freely available via /WHOIS query at ANY domain registrar? Wow.You (or your partners) MADE that information public when they registered the domain. And, to be frank, your domain is not "up for renewal". It's expired. That's why it doesn't show up when you type in www.onlinesimulationsolutions.com in your browser. You'll notice that even *Simflyers* is still up; that's because their domain hasn't expired. And, to be even more frank, the only person "crossing the line" here is you. Threatening me with a world of hurt.Sheesh.Enjoy your day. Hope to see your forums back up soon.
July 31, 200619 yr I could care less if it's posted already, that doesn't give you the right to spread it.You can bet, i'll be taking action to not only find out why that info is public and how I can correct that, but also to find out what recourse I have against you legally.I'm fixing our domain issue as we speak, and yes, it always creeps up on my for some reason. You had better change your ways, really quick. I'm going to speak more directly.------------------------PUBLIC DOMAIN, in law, legal availability for public use, free of charge, of materials, processes, devices, skills, and plans that are not protected by copyright or patent, including those on which copyright or patent has lapsed.------------------------You'll find that, in order to business, you have to make some things public and have that information concomitantly available at all times, Jeff. I now realize that -- at bottom -- you really have little idea about running a business; you treat customers and prospects as dolts, dish it out like an amateur, but are unable to take even the most minute of criticism. To boot, you are completely unaware that -- as an entity doing business on the internet -- you must have information freely available for purposes of consumer confidence (and preventing fraud). Good lord. Are you even aware that with a simple click, anyone can look up OSS' business license in the State of Kansas? Such information is required to be made public, my friend. You have every right to hide yourself; but you canNOT hide *AND* receive monies as an operating business entity. You have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?Do you realize that every rant you spew forth in here is completely counter-productive? You'll find that most viewers of this thread, having seen a myriad of your childish, phobic and oft recalcitrant posts, are going to think twice about purchasing any of your products in the future. I know I've purchased my last item from you. An 'intelligent' business person would have simply replied to my initial reminder: "Thanks for the reminder! You just saved me a big headache!" (big fat duh)By the way, good luck on your legal endeavor. I'm quite certain you have thousands of dollars to blow on counsel, considering you couldn't muster the twenty bucks it required to renew the domain.>I'm fixing our domain issue as we speak, and yes, it always>creeps up on my for some reason.>There's an issue?? Ahhhh, why didn't you say so! If I recall your first post, you did a few "LOLs" and said that *I* was the one mistaken (along with a mind-boggling hint that I should "refresh" my browser). The only reason it crept up on you is because you didn't keep track of it. In point of fact - since you're of the litigious persuasion -- you're lucky someone else with a bitterness similar to your own doesn't register the domain him/herself.Again, my highest regards for you in your grandiose legal challenge to the concept of public domain. I'm quite certain you'll serve as one of the more important figures in the hallowed halls of flightsim jurisprudence.-------------------------------** P.S.: For those of you *not* in the know, you have the legal right to do a domain name search for any domain name available or taken on the internet at a variety of online venues(http://www.ns.com/whois.htm is the oldest and most popular, for instance). Additionally, in order to prevent consumer fraud, you have the legal right to obtain information on any entity doing business on the internet; naturally, the accuracy of such information cannot be guaranteed. Nevertheless, it is your right (at least until Jeff and counsel overturn such rights in the U.S. Supreme Court or by legislative mandate).-------------------------------
July 31, 200619 yr First of all we don't wish to hide.I believe our information is on our web site also, however I think when the domain was registered is was somehow registered with personal information and which is our fault and when I saw that I got scared. I totally forgot after 4 years what we had done there. I can't remember what we were doing at the time when we registered the domain. Now in fact, I/we may have believed that the 'registrant' name and information was believed by us to be the personal contact information seperate from the business contact info and not to be published. I for one have military service which could be used to do harm to me and my family based upon my location of where I served. So if I jumped off the deep end there, then so be it. Again, our fault.I am fully ware of what's legal and what's not, so don't even go there. Don't even presume to tell me how run my business either. Holier than art though (can't even think to spell right now)? However, you don't post that here in the Avsim forums. In any case thanks for asking first also. Now I may owe you some sort of apology, yes, and you are correct in the legal sense, but that certainly doesn't make it right either, IMHO. And in light of the fact that you eveidently feel free to post such information, we'll part ways right here and now. If you need support with current products, by all means, feel free to email us, but you won't be posting in our forums.I guess I need a P.O. box, now don't I.In the case of my childish posts, yeah, I've gotten really loose these days, and that's about to change. I've tried a few things some purposefully and some not. Time to go back to my stiff ole boring ways of being proper, since that's what we all expect out of the head janitor. Now, the domain I think actually happened to turn off right smack in the middle of our posts. I was still getting emails until you posted the first time. You can call my irresponsible for not catching it after a few years, I really don't care. I'm sure it hasn't happened to anyone else here.In any case, I think this one is done now also. Jeff D. July 31, 200619 yr >Soooooo . . . is it too late to ask how everyone's morning>is?LOL!!! Always the "peacemaker"! :-)Alex
July 31, 200619 yr heheh it sure happened to me. One VERY mbarrassing thing is running 5 web sites on one account and they all go down due to forgetting to renew. One thing that always got to me is I always remembered the domain re-register -- it was my physical account that slipped by me until it was too late. My sites were all down for almost 48 hours as a result because I was broke at the time they came to pass.I am sure there is a more professional and peaceful way to work all of this out. I think a lot of us were all hot and bothered from the Simflyers discussion, of which I am still very thankful at good Sir john for answering on, but I am not sure exactly what was on everyone's mind when this convo blew up. I do hope Imaginesim gets back up and running soon. Always looking forward to information there.
July 31, 200619 yr >>Soooooo . . . is it too late to ask how everyone's morning>>is?>>>LOL!!! Always the "peacemaker"! :-)>>AlexYe didn't answer the question Matey! I said "How's yer mornin'"? Arrrr! Walk the Plank!!!!**chuckles**Yes, I know, I just got back home from Renaissance festival for the weekend. Too much time at the Pirate's Pub . . . . **looks around for more pictures of Iris and Rose to hang on his wall** if no one here has heard of them, do not listen to them while flying -- it could effect flight safety. They are, after all, as their CD covers say, wild and . . . thorny . . .
