August 28, 200619 yr While exploring FSX Demo effects folder I came across these files. Looks like there will be some fires to spot. I get the feeling they will be part of a mission but I wonder if they can be "activated" during free flight as well? :)fx_ForestBurntHugefx_ForestBurntLargefx_ForestFireHugefx_ForestFireLargefx_ForestFireMediumfx_ForestFireSmallfx_ForestFireSmokefx_ForestSteamfx_ForestSteamHugefx_ForestSteamLargeAnybody want to guess what fx_glowingEyes is for? :-eek

August 28, 200619 yr Yep! Looks promising. It would also be nice if real weather downloads could create forest fires. Im pretty sure there is some datasource that records forest fires... MODIS i think is the name.http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/Just think, flying over Australia in high summer, many forest fires. Would really add to the atmosphere, especially if those fires also create haze!
August 28, 200619 yr Commercial Member That was already done for FS2004 actually - search for "FSBlaze" in the library - works really well! Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
