June 30, 200619 yr Moderator On-line shops are simply setting up their pages in anticipation. Even the advertised 'prices' are likely placeholders.Don't take the day off on July 11, 2006... :-lol Fr. June 30, 200619 yr so, it will be released on 09:14 AM in Japan on the island of Honshu on the 7th day of the 44th cycle.Problem is, cycle of what...
June 30, 200619 yr Was the date that you saw 11/7/06? You may want to remember that in the US, the dates are typically written as MM/DD/YY, while in the UK they are usually written as DD/MM/YY. This may have led to you believing that the release was on July 11th, instead of the real release date of November 7th.

When MS said holiday season 2006...did they or anyone define which holiday? Of course anything could be wrong but thats the info I have. Even MS gives release dates and change them frequently...we know about vista for sure and now we read office 2007 will also be delayed, so who really knows?? One thing I can say in that regard neither vista nor office have sku numbers nor are they showing in dealer inventory with any anticipated delivery date. FSX is showing so take that for what its worth.Your question and suggestion was most refreshing and polite and I thank for that and trust me I will never ever do this again :-)Bill
June 30, 200619 yr Bill,Yes, I was referencing your post. I have no better information on the release date than what's been made public, but it would be very unusual of Microsoft to go gold with FSX so suddenly. Fortunately, with ACES presenting FSX at the conference in Denver early next week, we should get a bit of information out of them :) If you are correct on the release date, I will be the first to thank you for the information. I certainly wouldn't mind a much shorter wait.

July 2, 200619 yr This is the Amazon.com link for the United States:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GCJ6M...glance&n=468642It says it'll be released on Sept 19th. Hmmm. I'm not holding my breath or anything - not at least until Microsoft confirms the release date.
July 3, 200619 yr Judging from past experience with FS2000 and FS2002, *some* unscrupulous people may just buy the cheaper standard edition and start posting messages around asking us deluxe edition users to send them parts of the deluxe edition extras (with some excuse), so that they can put together a deluxe edition FSX with only the standard edition..... Declared weather: FSX: ASN / FS9: ASE
July 4, 200619 yr And more than a few suckers will actually fall for it, including one or two addon makers (yes, there were some who posted the files to turn FS2000Std into Pro on their websites).
July 5, 200619 yr This wouldn't be the first time they've added a release date. I suspect MS may be targetting that time-frame, but don't get too hurt if they say another one later. The FS team is regarded with fondness because of the general quality of their product.
