That's it!  All I have to say.  The most annoying thing about the product.

"How are you?". "I'm doing good." Arrgghh! 😠

Apart from the dreadful grammar (and annoying accent) this one seems to pop up more often than any other. I installed an alternative voice set but the default seems to have taken control again.

Yes, definitely the least appealing aspect of an otherwise excellent program.

If I were making a sound file for boarding, I'd make it sound more like a cafeteria...noise from people putting up bags etc, but just unintelligible mumbling like you'd hear listening to a cafeteria from afar.

It would be nice if they'd at least have an option to turn them off!

It would be better if you guys formulate a positive feedback requiring new sounds and how you would like them to work, etc.

Umberto is very good at listening to customers requirements and new features requests.

And I am sure that writing this in a nice way on his forums would have positive results.

Every thread requesting a change in how the program works is just meant with obstinance. It's a pointless exercise. He provides fast support, but there's no way to change his thinking about how GSX works.

It’s very easy to change them as they are simple wav files in the GSX folder. I just ripped the audio off one of the zillions of real world boarding videos on YouTube and added the audio to the files within GSX. I can’t distribute it as the copyright belongs to the original video uploader but you can easily make your own.

Or if you hate them that much, just open them in a recording program, remove the audio and then resave as the same file name but minus the audio. Silence will be golden.

I don’t agree with you often Ray but you sum it up perfectly.

Only note that once you run live update it will reinstall the original files so run the alternative sound set after each update.

Ray -- after you reinstall your replacement sounds, put a blank file called DONTUPDATE (no extension) in the GSX sounds folder (miine is a custom location -- Y:\fsdt\gsx\Addon Manager\couatl\GSX\sounds). I think the reason your sounds keep changing is that everytime you run Live Update, it will restore your GSX default sounds.

Hope this helps.

I have run the update so that explains why the originals have returned. That will help, thanks. 👍
