( again a setting in P3D of unlimited ) return the scanline sync back to :- ' Scanline Sync 0 ' ( ie switching scanline off ) then enter a frame limit :- ' Frame Limit 30' ( a value of 0 switches frame limit off ) Have you added Prepar3D.exe in the pane on the left and clicked on it. These setting are for a 60Hz monitor regards bob Edited June 14, 20196 yr by onebob
June 14, 20196 yr Limiting frames, whether in sim, or externally, to something that isn't a multiple of your refresh rate, is going to induce stutters. If you have a 60hz monitor and aren't limiting it to 30, 20, or 15, then you might as well not use any frame limiting at all. Even if you can only hit 26fps limiting to 30 will give you a better experience, you'll be getting the same/less stutters but higher average framerates. You'll be getting steady stutters 2-3 times a second by locking to 26. Edited June 14, 20196 yr by itsjase
June 14, 20196 yr That "not loading" was obviously a glitch, as now all is well. Now have no fps limit in RTSS, 1/2 scanline with -1, and unlimited in P3D, with P3 running as a profile. Did a torture test. PMDG 747 at EGLL with EF and AS and Orbx TE. On ground Fps varying 13-25, in air 12-20. As to be expected some minor stutters but overall very acceptable . Will just try that with limited FPS at 30. Then I will leave well alone. Thanks for the assistance. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. There is a problem when using ext FPS limiter and more then one display. Search for "Undocking panels halves the framerate" or something simmilar. You will find some topics which all ended up to dropping the external FPS limiter ONLY IF YOU PLAN TO UNDOCK PANELS. I can't recall why it happens and I think there was also some mention towards P3D running windowed or something....just serach for it (Google) and you will find your answer. Entering a value of 0 will switch scanline off. I use this value as it was suggested on the Guru3d forum. regards bob Edited June 14, 20196 yr by onebob
June 15, 20196 yr Thanks Onebob, or should you now be modernised to 5p? Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.
