But IMO they are far behind ORBX in Europe at least. I now have both the Orbx and RD products, and have installed the former. I'd like to compare performance between the two on my rig. Is there a quick way of disabling each in turn and enabling the other? In the past with Orbx I find that I have to uninstall/reinstall, which isn't exactly a quick process! (The exception is for scenery placed in the SCENERY.CFG file, for which I can used the AddonOrganizer program, or just edit the CFG). July 1, 20196 yr Hello Pete, I cannot speak for the R and D product but the Orbx product is installed into P3D v4 using the xml method and can therefore be enabled and disabled in the add-ons menu.
July 1, 20196 yr Author Yes, and for R&D, you just have to run the rdpresets_autogen_original_files_installer, to revert to default textures.😉 - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.

Really? That's not like the other Orbx products I have. And usually for a new XML-added product P3D prompts initially asking if it should be added. I'll have to look in my Add-Ons folder. 1 minute ago, David Roch said: Yes, and for R&D, you just have to run the rdpresets_autogen_original_files_installer, to revert to default textures.😉 Thanks, sounds good. In fact, Orbx KSUN uses the same method. As I expect you are aware, there is a new Orbx Central in beta testing which will enable the installation of all Orbx files outside the P3D folder. FTX central (yes, the latest one) shows that "Buildings HD2" is installed, and I have seen the buildings, but although the Add-On.XML for it is certainly there, how does P3D see it? Just wish there was no adding of any files to the main P3D folder directory, Central 4 can't come soon enough. July 1, 20196 yr That's all true, but I still don't understand why there was no question upon first start if I will allow usage like it is with other addon-xml addons. July 1, 20196 yr Hello Michael. The Orbx installer adds the entry to the add-ons.cfg file itself, so P3D does not need to ask if you want it to do so. Edited July 1, 20196 yr by Reader

I also found it in the AddOnOrganizer "other addons" tab. It was searching the assorted addons files (XML and CFG) for 'Orbx' which misled me. It's obviously under something else.
