Fun to come back to AVSIM, only to find someone not answering and suggesting I'm part of an animal shelter (because I'm using their product or evaluating them, I'm counting myself in). Great !

Anyone know which scenery justsim will copy next?

I throw a guess it will be alicante, that's been done a couple of times.

Maybe he could team up with the dude from 'scenery builders' to roll out some more cheap junk for his animal shelter

"copy".....Its called competition and some people dont have mega budgets to blow on fsim addons, you should not be branding someones work as cheap junk. If the developer of Justsim does this to fund an animal shelter, then kudos to them for showing some love.

chill out

It is looking very nice. The screenshot is with FTX Vector abd FTX OL.

I did not fly yet , just looked around for a few minutes.

It also works with my Greece 3D PR scenery.

Note 1 : FsGlobal Ultimate is causing some unwanted sharp mini mountains in the airport area. For now turn it off. Within the next few days I will look for the file to be disabled

Note 2 : When using FTX Vector disable LGIR

Yes, that is the one. I have the complete Greece 3D series. Very well done by RWS.

Hello and thank you all !

We can clearly see the difference between FSDG (David Roche posted FSDG picture as I analyze them) and JustSim from GSalden.

As I thought, JustSim is focussing on the airport itself,as usual. While JustSim improved its sceneries recently, we have to accept that it focusses solely on the airport. It depends on what you are looking for and everybody has different views on that.

I have had a lot of LGIR sceneries, in fact every scenery from the freeware ones for FS2004 until today. Of course FSDG is a great scenery but I fly mostly airliners, so I can focuss on the airport and save computer calculation, just like this kind of sceneries.

What is important to me is to get the updated terminal building, because in the FSDG scenery, the state of the main terminal is now outdated, as the duty free shop union in Greece financed latetely the refurbish of the terminal.

I'm just a little sad that JustSim did not model the Venitian fort on the harbour, would have been perfect.

I am the author of the last update of the Gateway scenery for LGIR in X-Plane where I updated the terminal. Both FSDG and JustSim are coming to X-Plane, maybe I will merge them to take the best of the two. This review in P3D will help me decide for my X-Plane installation.

Before buying the Justsim version I also looked the Aerosoft version. Also very well made.

For me the newer technique like Dynamic Lighting and PBR made the difference in favor of Justsim. The AS version has been updated to V4 and was made in 2012, if I am correct.

Both very nice looking sceneries..

My apologies. I didn't read the title properly so yes, this is the FSDG's version.
I might give Justsim a try as I also appreciate PBR texures 😉
