Flightbeam Terminal Buildings Missing

Featured Replies

From time to time I notice that i'll do a flight and upon takeoff from a FB airport or on landing, the terminal buildings will be missing and there will be no taxiway or runway lights.  The scenery is there and the gates/jetways are there, but no buildings.  What would be the cause for this and how would I fix it.  This has happened at SFO and PHX.   Thanks!

Have you updated to the new flightbeam config tool and do you show all sceneries are activated? Sounds like an activation issue.

Have the same issue with KPDX, SEQM and NZWN. Am in contact with their support and will let you know what we find out. Does your Flightbeam Manager also have problems sometimes contacting their server?

You say you have the gates/jetways are there, but no buildings.
This looks more like a FSDT Couatl activation problem.
Do you have any FSDT products?

This happened to me after upgrading to v3 of the configuration manager. It was upsetting to see missing building and I sent an email to support. I honestly thought that the days of seeing missing buildings were over after Flightbeam moved on from the addon manager & Couatl.

It's the one thing I detest about some devs who are utilizing these advanced DRM methods that seem to only affect their real paying customers. I spend 3 days without a simulator because I wanted to test Win 10 and forgot to deactivate p3d before re-imaging back to Win 7. It looks like the software is now checking every time to ensure that there's a valid activation. We are now at the point where without an internet connection, we will not be able to enjoy this flight simulator. Buyer beware!

Flightbeam is outstanding developer, but so are FlyTampa & ORBX without this piracy concern. Mir needs to fix this ASAP and devs need to now be more transparent with regards to how they are protecting themselves from the same customers that support them.

Yes, I have a lot of FSDT products.  In particular, GSX... and I just updated GSX to the new PBR version and this was my first flight into a Flightbeam airport since updated so I bet that is the problem.  What do I need to fix it?

You just need to run the Flightbeam Manager. The missing buildings is caused by not opening the Flightbeam Manager and logging in. If you need further support send us a message ---> https://www.flightbeam.net/support.html/

If you logged in already and the product tab shows locked, it's likely because you purchased that product with a different email address. We have a simply merge form that can take care of that. Just take a peek at our FAQ: http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3406

Yup, running the manager solves the problem. It seems it has to be able to connect to it's server, though. In my case it couldn't and then it wouldn't activate the sceneries. Today it could and would, and everything is good again...

I opened the Manager but it only recognizes that I have IAD, PDX, and MSP.  It doesn't show that I have DEN, SFO and PHX.  It doesn't show locked, but it just shows that I don't have it.  However, in my experience, it has always been like that and I have had the buildings...

Did you buy den, sfo, phx from a third party vendor or flightbeam directly? If third party, you would need to enter the serial number from when you purchased from the third party.

It looks like I got SFO, IAD, PHX, MSP, and DEN from eSellerate.  I've been flying into these airports before and never had an issue so this is strange to me.   I just opened the sim and I have buildings at PDX, MSP, (I didn't check IAD) but none at PHX and SFO.  The manager only shows that I have PDX, IAD, and MSP.  Strange.

Did you use more than 1 email when purchasing? You have to login the Flightbeam manager with the email for whichever airport you purchased. Then you have to merge the two emails to your preferred email. This is what I had to do also.
