January 7, 200620 yr For me, please fix: - The Sudden Visibility changes experienced during climbs and decsends...... or what is called the 10 mile visibility BUG - Please make OVERCAST just that - OVERCAST - Make Startus clouds volumetric like Cumulus clouds are in FS9, not like they are paper thin when you fly past them. For me the Weather is the most important thing that you can fix....I BEG YOU, PLEASE MAKE IT REALISTIC, SMOOTH CHANGING and DYNAMIC!!!!!Thanks
January 7, 200620 yr >For me the Weather is the most important thing that you can>fix....I BEG YOU, PLEASE MAKE IT REALISTIC, SMOOTH CHANGING>and DYNAMIC!!!!!I fully agree. But please note that truly volumetric clouds would apparentyly bring every today PC to its knees. There was a long post on the subject written by Damian Clark who knows something on the subject - he is creator of AVS. If I have clouds I want to be able to fly through them and not experience a slide show.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg Michael J.
January 7, 200620 yr Just one small thing but i wish the dev team can tweak the sim so that the user can control runway lighting. for example i did a flight today and landed early morning and the lights switched off as i rolled out half way down the runway! my point is that i felt more position orientated with them on even at that time of day, probably 2 hours after sunrise.
January 7, 200620 yr A small fix to the VC for TrackIR users, when the head is still, let the view be stable and not bobbing around (even slightly). Then we can easily press switches in the VC without pausing TrackIR.John.
January 7, 200620 yr Hey Microsoft.I don't give a **** about reflecting runways and birds. So besides all of the stuff mentioned above a few more little details here:Please add a moving map that doesn't have the size of a tiny stamp when running 1600x1200 and doesn't stop the flight simulator when looking at it.And remove this jurassic GUI library you are using for the dialogs. This is 2006 - in modern GUI frameworks you can also resize dialogs and there is also no need for polling for input messages (keeping the CPU busy) for nothing. And please get rid of the embarrassing stuttery animations of gear, flaps, nosegear, etc.Would be also nice if you fix the coordinate system and transformations so we could fly across the poles finally. Also stop these clouds turning towards the plane when flying over them. A few more sprites suffice. And please make the instrument display fluid (at least in the 2d view - a fluid VC would be perfect). Checkout X-Plane if you think this could not be done.Document all the setting the ini/cfg-files so people can stop guessing.Give us some real icing - including a visual representation. And Microsoft: If don't have a clue how to fix things check this out:http://www.flightgear.org/ and http://www.x-plane.com/.These people do not have the multi-gazillion dollar budget you have, but will probably overtake FS in a few years (probably dreaming here).End of rant. Some cynism included. Thanks for your patience.Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

January 8, 200620 yr Dear Santa-I fly a real Beech Baron that costs me $150 an hour...FsX should duplicate for a one time software fee of $40 my experience in every respect and 100% detail. Thanks,Geof (slightly sarcastic)http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
January 8, 200620 yr Wow you guys!!!!Unbelievable...Why don't you also add these:1. Stewardess on the stairs to check the tickets.2. Traffic jams at the airports.3. Random hijackers4. Space shuttles and moon landscape5. Traffic lights in the cities that work with traffic flow6. Bicycles for the 3rd world counties.7. Typhoons and twisters.8 .......Stelios Stelios Christofides
January 8, 200620 yr LOL, I read some months ago a person making requests for the next FS. They asked for real passengers.Any volunteers out there?ScottPS-Yeah, I know what he meant, but I got a good chuckle out of it.
January 8, 200620 yr I certainly hope the devteam has done some drastic changes in the way FSX allocates landscape textures around the world. As has been recently shown by the VOZ team, FS9 has a very small ground texture palette which is used everywhere in the world. If you want to use VOZ textures, you have to "switch" them on (and then off when you want to fly elsewhere in the world, otherwise things will look very "Australian").What's worse, the VOZ devs had to split Australia into four parts which you have to enable one at a time. Flying from one part of Australia to another with correct textures for each part is hence impossible :/ I'd love to use VOZ, but I've never liked add-ons that require "texture switching". So I hope FSX fixes that.
January 8, 200620 yr I would definitely like to see hold patterns and better ATC. Maybe if poss. coupled with voice recognition would be ideal. And yes definitely better helo and VStol physics, they're going to need to be better if we are going to try and put a helo on a cruise liner that is bobbing up and down.Incidentally, did anyone else notice that the water pumping out the back of that liner in the video was animated?
January 8, 200620 yr What I really want is to be able to go faster than 100 knots and not have my scenery look like this -http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/138332.jpg Couple miles in front looks like a big smudge no matter what tweaking I do.Looking at some FSX screenshots it actually might be a reality - I hope ;P[h4]Randy J. January 8, 200620 yr >MS,>>Please give these guys whatever they need.>>http://www.flightscenery.com/phpBB2/viewto...php?p=3289#3289>>They'll take care of the rest.>>WOW! Those screenies are more impressive then the FSX ones!!! THe textures are simply supurb, airport, water, tarmac, they are all awesome. Gee I can't believe that scenery for fs9 got me more excited then the fsx screenies, it should be the other way around. But I guess this is an add-on, and we haven't seen what developers are able to do with fsx. CheersTristan
January 8, 200620 yr Remember that it is easier to do a 20 x 20 miles area than the whole world... that is why these are $29.95 each and FSX is likely to be in the $99 range. Bert
