September 3, 20196 yr Look at steam. There must be an addin for this. Zeker weten. Groeten Marcus Regards, Marcus P.
September 10, 20196 yr Author Last Sunday, my good old MSI Sandy Bridge P65 Mainboard suddenly died so after many years of standard overclocking to 4.8 Ghz to juice the i7 2600K, it came to a end for the old guy and I think that the extra heat produced by the GPU to juice the Reverb, must be the issue because the 1060 was running constant at 99% and the overall temperature on the mainboard and inside the case was sky rocketing. The CPU was on water cooling with a 60 degree Celsius max. so not an issue. Yesterday I build a brand new i5-9600K with 32 Gb RAM to juice the 4K resolution of the HP Reverb and waiting now for the courier to replace the 1060 6Gb with a RTX 2070 Super graphic card and I am very curious about the new performance. I was searching since my Reverb arrived for a used 1080ti but the prices they asked for it are ridiculous and for the same price I now have a brand new RTX 2070-Super GPU with 3 years warranty. All the tests I have seen on YT in Games and Non Games showed that the performance is basically the same as a 1080ti and the only advantage for a 1080ti, is the 3Gb extra Vram. Well, HP advised the default GTX 1080 as the optimum GPU for the Reverb so I think a 2070-S have enough horsepower to play Flight simulation in a 4K resolution. I can say that the combo i5-9600K (running at 4.6 Ghz) with the good old 1060 6Gb gives already an overall performance boost in the higher resolutions compared to the old 2600K, which was surprisingly good for such a old system, so my statement in the starting of these post that P3DV45 for now is the best running sim in VR with the Reverb still stands. For now, it's the only sim where you can crank up the SSAA in combo with the Reverb to 4SSAA or much better, 8SSAA and a must have for a sharp and clear picture in the headset. Tonight I have the 2070 Super in it and will also post the new results of it. By the way, some people wrote in the past that you don't need any use of AA with a 4K display (?/!) well, maybe it's working with a monitor but NOT in a Reverb 4K VR headset. Jaggy's and shimmers are all over the place in all the sims i have tested... Due to these fact, Xplane11 is still unplayable with the 9600K/1060 combo in 4K VR, even with the 9600K and I hope that the 2070-S will give a totally other picture because it's still my first choice... September 10, 20196 yr Author The 2070 Super has arrived and running very well. Prepar3DV4.5 is still King with 8xSSAA and awesome to fly in 4K VR now... Aerofly is become to shine also now and nearly as sharp in the scenery as P3D with all the graphic settings at MAX and Vulcan Beta on. The cockpits are really sharp but the sceneries a little less. A CPU load at 20 and GPU at 60 in ORBX LOWI and also TE Netherlands is very promising to the future.... Xplane11 is still a big disappointment in 4K VR. I can fly now in high settings with a average of 30fps but still in 4xSSAA and not in the highest 8xSSAA because it's falling back to 15 fps. Maybe it's flyable with a 9900K and 2080ti in 4K VR but is far above my budget. Well, now it's time to enjoy the skies again in VR and for the moment I think that the HP Reverb is the best amateur Sim/VR experience for it's price and let see what the future brings. Happy landings...
September 18, 20196 yr I got my Reverb yesterday and am really impressed of the quality of the image in P3D. It is so much clearer and sharper as my rift s. Had so many tries. Oculus Rift, Samsung O, Samsung O+, Pimax 5k, Roft S and now Reverb which is the best for me of all. No SDE and so crisp, also in distance. Performance is good. SS and 188% in Steam VR, 4XSSAA and FXAA, 4096X4096 in P3D. Really superb. So a clear recommondation. Thanks to all who gave me inputs here. Regards Marcus Regards, Marcus P.
September 18, 20196 yr Thanks to you guys for a great write-up and recommendation. I am on the Rift CV-1 (still) ; I had the Rift-S but I did not see a $400 difference between the two so I returned it. I can simply oversample the CV1 to 1.6 with the debug tool and on this rig (8700k at 4.8 Ghz and 1080Ti) it still gives rock solid performance (xcept at EHAM ! haha). The Rift-S looked no better, and felt heavier to me. I am now researching / deciding for the next headset between PiMax and Reverb2, but it sounds like the newer Reverb is the way to go. I might order one soon. cheers, rgds, JB 9800x3d, ASUS TUF x870, 64GB G.Skill DDR5, MSI Ventus 4080, HP Reverb G2 VR, FlyVirtual.net, Private Pilot SEL rating, subLogic FlightSim 1983 & every release since

I had them all so I could compare. Regards, Marcus P.
April 9, 20206 yr Hey guys, I did read your conversation with great interest, since I am also an VR Simming enthusiast. I do have one question, which I think fits in here. Atm I have a gtx 970 4gb, i5 4690k with 8gb ddr3 (which I could update quiet easily to 16gb) and also the Oculus Rift 1CV and playing mainly Xplane 11. Because I really dislike the low resolution of the Rift I plan to buy the Reverb without directly upgrading my PC. Do you guys think I will be able to play Xplane 11 with really low settings , but in full 2160x2160 resolution per eye? I might have the oportunity to buy a reverb for about 200€ on ebay and I really wanna try out the improved resolution. My plan is to buy a new PC at the end of 2020 anyways, when the new gtx 3000 series is out, to get my hands on a 2070 super or 2080, but until then I kinda wanna know how this high resolution VR feels :) Looking forward to hear your opinions on this subject :) Greetings sfighter17

A 4gb GPU and i5 aren't gonna cut it unfortunately no matter the RAM upgrade.. Also Samsung are working on a new HMD... I would wait until you get a new PC...don't ruin your first impression of VR with crumbled performance because of insufficient hardware like many VR naysayers have😂 Edited April 9, 20206 yr by blueshark747 Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

Regerdless the visuals as also the performance. But just getting more stable usage of the HMD and maybe a few frames up can make a huge difference in experience. So 3 to 4 more frames help a lot in my opinion. Yes...using FT at EHAM. Now EHAM is ine of the heavier spots in combination with TE. If my rig can get from 18 to 20 fps up to 22/25 fps it would be great for me. Do you use the steam app to have 2d panels in your HMD (like Navigraph Maps, etc)? Oculus has a option for that and I am using it always as I can use the navigraph app to display all charts in my HMD/Cockpit view (simular to a tablet in real cockpit). I know there is a Steam App to use this in a WMR HMD too. Maybe you have it too and could report back if it is stable? Thanks again for replying Regards Marcus (EDDF) 😉 Hi How do you display documents in the p3d vr cockpit,i can work out how to do that, i have an oculus quest with link cable Cheers Wayne Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
