September 8, 200619 yr Im just wondering what people think of the airsimmers A320? To me it seems quite interesting.OK OK it now means we have another A320 out there and we may seem flooded for choice, but I think competition is a good thing and will lead to some great products come release time :) Alaister Kay
September 8, 200619 yr If you saw the feature list and didn't know who was making it one would surely say PMDG. Seem it is going to be a complete airbus simulation. I wonder why all the copycats. They could just as easily made a A318/A319 or an A330/A340 which we need as I don't think PSS and would not have been in direct competition with all the A320's that have been anounced. Do they really think they can beat PMDG at their own game? I wish them luck and will wait for the reviews to come in before I choose a bus.Regards, Carlos
September 8, 200619 yr Looking at the feature list it seems too good to be true, but looking at their team members they have some really talented people behind it. Though I am confused about Avsim's announcement, are they actually releasing it at the convention or are they just showcasing it? Pretty unclear. Either way, if they can pull off what they say on their website I'll be a customer.
September 8, 200619 yr Well, if there announcing it at the AVSIM conference with the dates listed on their website, they will be very lonely! So much for a company spouting off its accuracy.
September 8, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hello,>Though I am confused about Avsim's>announcement, are they actually releasing it at the convention>or are they just showcasing it? Pretty unclear. No, we don't release anything at the convention. As for the copycats of A320, in fact we are developping the "A320 Family", i.e. ALL the members of this family. Historically, A320 is the first one, so the family got its name. But I repeat, we are working on the entire family - there will be 8 aircraft - from A318 to A321 with all the types of engines used on these planes (CFM, IAE and PW). If you look at the screenshots you'll find all the types. BTW, for a given airline we'll release liveries for all its A320-family fleet. For example, Mexicana has A318CFM, A319CFM, A320CFM and A320IAE - so we'll include all of these types in (different) Mexicana paint schemes.
September 8, 200619 yr I think the VC looks very promising. Its hard to find anything to criticise at all in their screenshots!! The only thing that catches my eye is the flash light, it looks cartoony.I'm impressed and looking forward to hearing further details of this project.Regards
September 8, 200619 yr The feature list looks promising, but so does the feature list of a Captain Sim or Ariane aircraft. It's hard to tell without testing the final product.Pat
September 8, 200619 yr Well I look forward to it.....though a complex IL-96 would have been nice too! :-hah regardsEdaka Capt. September 8, 200619 yr Thats good news about the VC gauges :D it seems you are trying to set a high standard for this product so I have some real interest :(I know that those shots are work-in-progress, but I feel the VC may look a little better with some whethering/aging of the textures. Also the rotating switches are too white for my liking, maybe they could use some toning done or some shadowing. Finally I assume that the cabin view is looking from the front to that back, but the seat positions show 'ABC', but shouldn't it be 'CBA' so that A is next to the window :(I'm looking forward to seeing more information/updates coming on this plane Alaister Kay

After all, "final testing" of products tends to be a very expensive undertaking. My suggestion: offer a time limited trial of the product.ricardo
