Just to clarify I’m just speculating based on the sketchiness of info released on key details that was standard in past versions of Flight Simulator and past experience this community has had dealing with MS in these development cycles.  If they don’t talk about it it’s most likely not there (at least not in the way we would want it)...  On a positive note I hope I'm wrong.

This topic seems to have turned into another discussion of conspiracy theories, like the “subscription model.”

At this point that would be 90% of this whole Flight Simulator 2020 forum.  Until the sim is released we are all just talking around the limited information we’re getting.

I can't see MS freely letting third party developers produce on top of their content ever again, they're going to want their cut.

They've literally said developers can sell add-ons on their own stores.

I would strongly suggest reading/watching the various posts/video interviews from the preview event, as many of your concerns have already been addressed, and the team is either aware that the community wants certain features, or is actively working on them. If they had no intention of developing a product that we wanted, they'd use internal quality assurance with no community-driven alpha/beta testing. That said, I wouldn't expect a perfect, feature-rich initial launch of the final product, but I do expect them to continue building upon it over time. The same level of transparency we've gotten so far will be very important for post-launch success IMO.

Also worth mentioning that it's Asobo Studio developing it, not Microsoft.
