September 18, 200619 yr >Ah finally... Thanx for the report man. ;)>How about gauge smoothness ?It certainly seemed really smooth, but I don't have a whole lot to compare it to. All I know is that it looked really good and really feature rich, so I'm excited.
September 18, 200619 yr "They were probably all of those pictures of Tom sipping martinis with the girls."Yeah, yeah, yeah... That would have been a neat trick with my wife standing over my shoulder... :)Go here: http://www.avsim.com/pages/tom/2006conv/avsim%202006.html

September 18, 200619 yr EDIT: Two violations of our forum rules; you linked to an image from a site not owned by you, and the image size violated our policies. Please do not do that again. Not bad...
September 18, 200619 yr Commercial Member The virtual cockpit has ALL the switches, guards, levers and handles already animated. They will be fully functional and bound to the panel code when this one is ready. Few "gadget" animations are present too, like the cockpit windows and stores, the tablets, the seats... albeit no moving manuals or opening bookcases (what we juged useless). The cockpit door is animated - when closed it makes the passenger cabin dissapear to save the precious fps.

September 18, 200619 yr Thanks Samdim :D I think thats a good idea about the cabin disappearing once the door is closed, just one question, will the wingtips still be visible from the flightdeck? Alaister Kay

September 18, 200619 yr Top stuff, thanks so much for the report, it is appreciated.Good to hear that the substance lives up to the hype so far, this one sounds like a must-have! Mark Adeane - NZWN
September 18, 200619 yr I must say the idea of an openable DV window is quite a cool idea. I'm not normally a 'eye candy' sort of person but I've always wanted to be able to be able to have the DV window open on a summer day prior to push back. Silly as it sounds. This project sounds more and more exciting with every announcement, any idea when a discussion forum will open up? Presumably early days at this point. Mark Adeane - NZWN
September 19, 200619 yr Commercial Member > just one question, will the wingtips still> be visible from the flightdeck?Yes. The wings and the engines don't dissapear to make possible the wing views
