Cincinnati to Leipzig-Halle in a 747F

Recommended Posts

Great shots! Kalitta name has a nice ring to it!

And, glad you've picked Cincinnati for ORIG...(I recall many (short-hop) trips into this airport...cramped in an ERJ or a CRJ, I forget)...

Cincinnati was an interesting challenge for me. A lot had changed since Imagine Sim's FS9 version. I had to build the Northern DHL ramp for the scenery.... seen here:

Also writing the crosswind runways so that Rwy 27 is always in use for takeoffs regardless of whether the wind is from the NE or SE but the arrivals would change to 36C/18C or 38R/18L.

Love the Kalitta repaint; looks great on the Opensky model.  Foggy approach after a flight that long would be a challenge!

Hello John, I love a challenge but this time I chickened out and went for a full auto land. 🐓 😄

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

NICE!

IMHO the older Kalitta Air livery looks better (prior to DHL?) - the one with the stripes down the fuselage.

Give me the old Kalitta livery and the old 742 with their distinctive cockpit config any day of the week.

I only started flying the 744 because of the Retro BA liveries.
