How do you run AutogenConfigEditor.exe?I've tried doubleclicking on the file name and also tried running it from a command prompt.All I get is an error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xC0000135) Click on OK to terminate the application.Appreciate any help or suggestions.Doc G

Good job Matt. I just d/led the file, installed it, and took it for a test drive in Hawaii. This scenery is all about trees. My prior flights were in the 12-15 range. This flight, however, I was consistently getting between 25 and 40 fps in the jetranger. I started with my fps target at 20. After seeing what was happening, I bumped it to 40 and it was very happy with that setting.Outstanding. Now if we could do something about the heavily populated areas, we would be good to go.

Then took a look at the SDK overview file. Found that some of these files need Microsoft.net Framework Version 2.After downloading and installing that, I made a quick test and both SDKConfig and AutogenConfigEditor run fine.Going to play with AutogenConfigEditor and see what it'll do.Thanks again for the help.Doc G

:) Just wanted to thank the ones on this post for their help with fsx,fs2006 or whatever you want to call it.I was getting "good" results on my system of 2.4mhz with 1ghz of memory. I use an ATI 8500dv all in wonder tv card with 64m of memory.When I changed the autogen file for the trees it really improved things.Usually on a new version of any Flightsim product I give myself twelve to twenty four hours for testing.I had already used the control alt del to cut out as many of the unnescessaries as I could and the msconfig to do a clean boot. That by itself had helped a lot.It shocks me when I see folks write about having 3+ ghz of processor and 2+ ghz of memory and not getting very reasonable results. I am fortunate to be skilled enough to get quite comfortable settings out of my system.My first system was the Atari 800 pc and it was a good system. Since the programs you could get were so limited, you had to get everything out of the system and of each program available. I came through the pc learning process with the habit of making everything count. Now with the programs and great glut of hardware, software, available, it is easy just to skim the top of what's available.By the way,does anyone know how to get the sound to work in REyLopez airplanes for fs2004 in fsx? Or should I post that on another board. This is my first post to a board of any kind anywhere. rsg.

OK, tried this - at KSTL (my "testing grounds"), i noticed only a slight increase in FPS. HOWEVER, i noticed SIGNIFCANTLY fewer chops and stutters while panning around. So, thanks a lot for the file! While "the numbers" don't show much difference, overall the sim feels much, much "smoother"!

This looks like a great fix but I can not seem to download it from any of the links in this post....all are coming back stating that the file is missing. Is there another place that this can be found...like the AVSim library? I have tried to look there with no luck...any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!Dan

hi i have tried to down load your patch for fsx but it says that is not available what do you suggest i do now do help with framerates.please somebody help as i am a little dissapointed with it and it is not cheapfranklah

Yeah I get the same problem, the attachments are gone. These should go in the file library so this stopps happening.
