April 24, 20206 yr Not that session - but I have before - will try "all systems off" from SHIFT-1 at end of this flight (about 1hr) - KGPI to KDEN Edited April 24, 20206 yr by julian46
April 24, 20206 yr Landed - taxied to parking - shutdown engines - did SHIFT-1 (all systems off) - (everything turned off) - connected GPU and power came back - engine covers and windshield cover etc all work fine from SHIFT-2 (ann lights test looks normal) Edited April 24, 20206 yr by julian46

April 24, 20206 yr Thanks for verifying my question. Therein lies the problem I have been having. If I shut down the engines and then try to connect the GPU or do anything under aircraft options, nothing works. However, if I do Shift+1 then all systems off, then everything under aircraft options works fine. I will try to create a short video tonight.

Just in case you are not aware, note the parking brake has to be ON to connect the GPU, add chocks, etc. Safety requirement I assume. Al Edited April 24, 20206 yr by ark

Just finished the video. I did not show the whole flight from KMRY to KSFO, but key parts. You will see that when I get to KSFO (around the 6:00 mark), I set the parking brakes, turn off the engines, and then my issue with the airport config tab not allowing me to do anything until I set "All systems off" shows itself. https://flymirageva.org/pdf/test2.zip

You should also turn off the avionics master before connecting the GPU to protect the equipment when the GPU is first connected. Edited April 25, 20206 yr by ark

I can do it either way with no issues - I can shutdown the engines and connect the gpu (and engine covers and everything else fine) - I don't normally use Shift-1 to select "all off" as I don't need to do it - I just go in there to select "ready to start" on the first leg of a multi trip flight - otherwise after a leg I shut down the engines, turn off the fuel computers and pumps and prep for the next leg still powered up (again with gpu attached) (I selected "all off" as a test earlier to see if I could see what you are)

April 25, 20206 yr I've just installed the latest version and I'm having the 'no lights' issue. I've tried everything in this thread with no joy. One thing I did notice is that under the windows 'add/remove'' menu the program shows as last year's version, even though the uninstaller itself is the latest. I'm not sure if that's relevant.

Did you uninstall the old version before installing the new version? Al Sorry, I was a little vague, I'll try and explain: 1. P3D 4.5 HF2 and since yesterday HF3 2. Windows control panel shows 4.2d (August 2019) 3. I uninstalled using the Apps and Features method but post installation the 4.2d still showed in the list, however when I tried to uninstall it I got a message along the lines of 'program can't be found' 4. When I install 4.3, 4.2 still shows in Apps and Features, When I uninstall 4.3 the uninstall dialogue says 4.3, but post installation 4.2 is still there In addition 4.3 is not detecting my RXP GPS, but is detecting the F1 units. I installed RXP fairly recently, so it appears that I'm somehow not completely getting rid of 4.2. I hope this is somehow related to the lights issue. Any advice how to completely uninstall would be appreciated. I've tried with virus protection on and off. Many thanks

Not sure if this will help others or what I did exactly that made a difference: 1. Uninstalled current version 2. Manually removed old entry from Apps and features 3. Deleted FLYSIMWARE INFO folder that still existed 4. Downloaded new installer again and installed. Lights now working. Thanks for your help.
