Best Nvidia driver at the moment

Yeah there is a P3D profile but they aren’t making current drivers with P3D in mind. They aren’t out here trying to optimize drivers to fit P3D’s specific needs lol

What driver improvements do you feel they need to make, but have not made?

Cheers!

so for me the 441.66 drivers (with out frame rate limter in ncp)  seem to be the best.

I can lock frames in ndviva inspector with 441.66 with good results ,  the versions after it causes stuttering ,

ive also tried the frame rate limited in ncp with no luck, same story with rtss  its a stutter fest.

but wont worry best wishes Dave has that magic program he talks about with his NDA.   fixes everything apparently

442.19 here (2080Ti). Hands down the best one I've ever used for P3D.

It is also the only one that I have ever installed and used without touching any of the settings. I clicked the "clean installation" option like I always do. I got the DCH version this time, so I had to go to the play store and install the control panel. When I started P3D for the first time running that driver, I was shocked to find that P3D looked stunning given that I hadn't even looked at the settings. I left it that way and have been using it ever since.

441.41 all the way for me.

Used DDU on the second attempt of installing 442.19, but still suffered the same stuttering as I did when I did just a "clean installation" of that driver. Reverted to the original 441.41 and everything is smooth once again on my PC.

Happy for anyone who has it working perfectly for them, but it isn't a panacea for everybody.

I installed the 441.87 drivers for my new PC. To be honest, I doubt that I would notice any difference in performance between two different driver versions.

IMO, drivers do make difference when using FSX/P3D sims. I remember trying some drivers where even the ATC went out of wack. Aside from the apparent addition to the fps limiter I've noticed a smoother sim. Less lag matters.

So I installed 442.19 and so far it seems to be a solid driver. I installed using the clean option when downloading. I have vsync enabled in the Nvidia driver settings which caps my frames to 60fps. Last night flying I had one or two little hiccups as far as stuttering but overall it seems to be stable. With ASN, SF, EF, ProATCX, and FS Force all working in the shadows when I’m simming I don’t expect to have a completely smooth experience with so many programs open at once but I’m happy with this driver and will probably dig my heels in with this one.

If correctly installed they all are fine..

Sometimes NV releases a driver which has an issue, but then they are fast with releasing a fix or new updated driver..

I see people claiming better FPS several times a year but on my pc’s I never saw these improvements...

CPU_Usage.jpg?dl=0I've just updated mine to 442.59 as I was having CTD problems with P3Dv3 Concorde and was using 382.05 drivers for safety. That problem has now been solved.

This new feature where you can set the frame rate is excellent. Prior to this I was switching my monitor to 30Hz but that made the mouse movememts very jerky. With 442.59 I've set the fps to 29 and the mouse still has the advantage of 60Hz. Best of both worlds! CPU0 usage well off the max.

My only advice with Nvidia drivers is to ignore the people on this forum who update their driver then come on this forum to claim that they're seeing a dramatic improvement in image quality or FPS.
