>>I believe most FSX purchasers are unhappy!>Probably so, but I remember 3 years ago a lot of people were saying the same thing about FS2004

And many are unhappy because the huge demands are their computers is a surprise. It sure surprised me. ACES owes those of us who purchased very early (thanks Best Buy) free software for a year! LOL. We did the community a huge service for those now reporting OK performance.WE LOWERED EXPECTATIONS.......... LOLBob...

There is absolutely no value, no contribution, and certainly nothing positive out of this post. If you ask me, the "whiners" at least add to the discussions in the form of pointing out flaws and in some cases contributing to solutions. I cannot, for the life of me, see the reason for this thread to even exist. It's as if people are saying bad things about your kid. Here's some advice to the antiwhiners. GO FLY! Or are you afraid of the truth coming out? You know, the one that exposes your low self esteem and pathological need to identify with a hivemind, and the frustration you feel when the harmonic resonance of the hivemind is in disarray because people are, quite frankly, ######?Give it a rest. You've got your brownie points.

I guess the point I don't get is if you don't like it-take it back and get a refund! It really isn't worth getting pixxxx over.I don't mind people pointing out flaws, performance issues, and critics.I do mind angry people hurling insults and often misrepresentations. Are we not here to have fun? Seems kinda obvious to me-if one isn't-don't use it and move on....http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Sure I agree, but lately there seem to be people that think cheerleading is the way to go.There is nothing wrong with pointing out flaws etc. But some here seem to think thats whining and have those who speak up shut their mouths and return it if they don't like it. I rather have people complaining about things that should be fixed, then just people who are contributing nothing except telling how great it runs on their PC and telling us there is absolutely nothing wrong with FSX. :-waveshocky :-hah

Well I'm digging my heels in...there is absolutely no way I'm going to buy FSXXI until they fix the three dimensional rendering in FSXX, and if they think I spent all that money on the latest hologram room and they can't improve the gravitational influences better...I'm through wasting my money with MS. I'll just stick with FSXX and the addon's I currently have.

These board statistics are a daungerous thing but yes I also tend to look at the date that a poster registered and how many posts they made before I look at what they have to say.The board also has a great search function and you can find back posts that where made around the time that FS2004 was released. I still urge people to read the feedback from that era. People may believe that there was a certain sentiment then or that the reaction was the same but just look at how many negative threads the Fs2004 release got versus the FS-X release now. There is a difference.I don't know what has changed in through the years. Maybe we got more critical. Maybe this release realy is different. Time will tell.

>Maybe this release realy is different. Time>will tell.I think it is as different as FS9 was to its predecessor. People think they will be getting reality with each release, but in reality, reality is still a long, long way away... maybe FS2044?

Hmmm... I've seen posts praising FSX, but I don't think I've seen a single post stating that "everything" about it is great. Constructive critisim of FSM is a good thing and it helps MS and third party developers help us overcome problems. Unfortunatly I've seen alot of immature MS/FSX bashing here since FSX came out. Hopefully thats behind us now.Regards,Mark >>

Though I agree that FSX sure has a lot to offer, there are>also the cheerleaders here that just keep saying everything>about it is great.. it goes both ways.>> >:-wave>>>shocky :-hah>>

So we should only post complaints? I've seen alot more 'knee-jerk' complaint posts then ones of praise. As far as some of us actually being happy with FSX... Kinda sounds like a good thing to me :)Regards,Mark>>>It is gratifying to see to the several challenges to this>offensive original post. I, for one, am sick and tired of the>intolerance shown to varying points of view by these>closed-minded self-described "glass half full" folks.>Considering the problems with performance and the irritating>and offensive activation requirement for FSX and the RAH..RAH,>THANK YOU SO MUCH..GIVE US MORE, MICROSOFT knee-jerk>cheerleading we continue to see from the same old players or>their clones, I am nearly convinced that these "glass half>full" folks are a destructive force on the future of the>flight sim hobby.>

This is interesting (original post that is). Why would people need to keep repeating the same issue over and over again? FS9 getting its own thread is example enough proof that FS9 is a very logical choice for many at this time. We don

I agree with the bush flying statement. Airlines won't be happy with it until all the performance aspects are ironed out so the complex aircraft can run in the cities without problem. Bush and GA flyers should be generally happy if generalizing most of the posts. One thing to note though is the hubub over graphics. When details of FSX first came out it was the Heavy Iron group that cried foul over the investment in the graphics with the GA/Bush group praising the new living world. Now that initial reports indicate problems with maxing out the graphics it seems some heavy iron folks are upset about the inability to up the graphics settings. Just an observation, not a dig. Most likely a reaction to the fact that not much system wise was was improved which carries over into the graphics side. A "give me something" reaction.Hopefully within a year we'll all be happy in our perspective camps. Fingers crossed.Note: these are my observations and I'm not condemning the heavy iron guys. Stick with FS9 and wait it out to see how things progress and update when they feel the time is right, no problems with that strategy at all in my opinion.Bashing FSX for the sake of bashing it on the other hand helps nobody, so the most constructive way to vent a gripe is with a well thought out post so the developers scanning the forums can formulate solutions or send the problem to FS via the provided tell fs link.Ian.
