Anybody got that to work in A2A aircraft? It lets me configure it but it does not show up in the aircraft.

Thanks

Update....

Ok, It does work as a stand alone mode, But wont install into the virtual cockpit panel. My guess at this point that it will be an A2A update the corrects it.

Did you use A2A's Aircraft Configurator to first install the correct GPS frame in the virtual cockpit panel?  Must be done before installing the actual RXP product in an A2A airplane.

Good luck,

Greg

Yes, Ran the configurator, Then launched P3D 5. No matter how I tried to install it, the only way it would work is as a window on the screen, would not install as part of the panel in any way.

Hmmm?  And this is with the GNS V2 update v2.4.19 that was released today?  Suppose to work with P3Dv4.5HF3 and P3Dv5.0.

See this post from Jean-Luc.

I decided to remove all of A2A completely. after doing so Re-installed, all went normal. Moved a copy of my A2A "Add-On" folder P3D V4.5 HF3 to my P3D V5 "add on" folder and renamed the windshield.dll file. To my surprise, She be working!! I'm

going to chalk it up to a long day of setting up P3D V5 on my new Hot Rod Pc and along the way, I must have missed something or done something to give me the issue, But so far so good now.

Thanks for the support though, Appreciated.

Interesting. After this most recent update for the GNS I appear to have a similar issue to what is described in this topic.  I have been having strange issues with my A2A C182 in FSX and went through a number of steps yesterday trying to resolve them.  When loaded, the aircraft would bounce around like it was on a trampoline.  Got that fixed by deleting some config files in a FSX folder under A2A and letting them get rebuilt.

Now the 182 behaves but I am not getting the RXP GNS gauges in the panel.  Just a blank plate.  That using the RealityXP.GNS.ini file and panel.cfg file I had backed up.  I have two panels in use among four variants of the installation.  Two with a GTN panel.  Two with a dual GNS panel.  The GTN panel works great.  But I spent about two hours trying to solve why the GNS panel is not working.  Failed.

Hi Frank,

Did you get any particular info in the RXP log files?

Have you checked your anti-virus for any quarantined RXP file?

Jean-Luc.  The latest update of your wonderful GNSv2 is working famously in all of the other aircraft in which I have them installed.  Can't figure what's up with the A2A 182.  The panel I have for the A2A GTN 750 works just fine....  I had a separate issue with the A2A 182 and removed and reinstalled it.  Then I copied back the aircraft.cfg and respective panel.cfg files that were fine previously.

I have two custom configured panels for the A2A 182.  Each its own folder under the model

Simobjects\Airplanes/A2A_C182\panel.GTNradio
Simobjects\Airplanes/A2A_C182\panel.GNSradio

Each folder contains its own panel.cfg file and all the other necessary files and folders that A2A put into its Panel folder

The Aircraft.cfg file has calls to those panels and the combo has worked just fine in the past. For two liveries of the aircraft the Aircraft.cfg line is for panel=GTNradio, and for another two liveries the line is for panel=GNSradio.  The GTN call is working fine.  For the liveries with GNS I get a blank plate in the panel.  The popups work fine, and I moved them to a different [window##} for testing so it's clearly using the right panel, cfg file.  I have double and triple checked the vcockpit entries.

I'm abandoning my efforts.  I do not fly the A2A 182 that much, and when I do I will just use the GTN variant.

Not sure if its an issue, but, On the VC panel itself, None of the buttons operate the GPS, They make a click sound but do nothing. If i click the GPS screen so it pops up to the foreground window, it all works. When i close the pop out so its in VC panel view. No button operation.

Thanks

Just tested the C182 in P3D V5.. and the buttons work..

Do you get "turn arrows" when you mouse over the GNS knobs?  Does the mouse wheel operate them?

LOL.....<<<<<  At my frustration.....

Not sure if this had anything to do with it, but, I made sure it working ok in P3D V4.5HF3. Which is was, everything in the 530 worked on the panel and popped out of the panel. Perfect! I made sure all the folders had the same files and all. I went back to the A2A Configuration set up and removed the RXP and put it back to default. Which it did. Normal and verified in P3D V4. I went back to the configuration set up and again set to RXP GPS. Ran P3D V4 and it was working, no problem. Started V5 and after starting in default, switched to A2A 172 and Ta Dah!! it is now working. I dont know why, I wish i knew.... But its working now in all its glory and im not going to try and fix it!  LOL

Thanks for chiming in with the direction, Much appreciated....
