P3d 5 issues with lighting

Well, that does at least tell me one thing that is NOT the problem, so still helpful.

Many thanks.

Al

Whatever the core problem might be it’s curious that it specifically affects the master warning panel of the Falcon 50 as well. On the Lear, at least some warning panel lights illuminate during test, but on the Falcon, none of them do - but other lights (like anti skid LR and various failure lights on the overhead panel do come on when the button is pressed).

The joys of a brand new sim platform!

Same issue here, but on P3D v4.5 HF2.

I just updated my Lear to v4.3 and now my AFCS lights doesn't work. It was fine on v4.2g.

This image is showing the light test.

Interesting that your light test result (which lights work) is the same as Jim's above. That is a good clue I think. I will try to contact Mark at FSW tomorrow to see if we can figure out what is going on.

Although the AP lights don't work, does the AP work? For example, if you turn on the AP and click on HDG, does the Flight Director appear? In Heading mode with the AP on will the Lear turn to follow the heading bug?

Yes, the AP works fine. This issue just affect the lights.

Thank you Ark!

I’m the same. Autopilot works but no AFCS lights.
What a wonderful aircraft again!!!

Mark and I found the bug that is causing the annunciator light problem in the Lear (and the Falcon50 as it turns out). Mark will be putting out new installers today, but here is a fix you can try in the meantime.
Go into the Lear's panel.cfg file (which is in the panel folder) and add this line to [Vcockpit01]:

gauge16=Learjet_35A!ANNUNCIATOR,      0,0,2,2

Adjust the gauge # to whatever would be the next one in sequence if #16 is not correct.

I’ll try this late today, and report the results here.

Thank you both guys to be so helpful!

I love this aircraft.

If using Lear v4.3 in P3Dv5 see my post above for a temporary fix.

I just bought and installed the last version in P3D5 but still no lights on autopilot switches. Will try this fix!

Hello,

with the latest install it doesn't work on my learjet, I also checked the panel.cfg, the line is there already in the latest update. However I don't see green lights at the AFCS buttons. In only see r p on ENG button but all the other ones stay dark.

Ok, it works now when I do a lights test at the beginning of the flight as I found on this forum. I don't know what causes this to happen.

The installer that was released midday yesterday (4/20) version 4.3a, had a bug in that many of the effects files that control the appearance of lights were placed in the wrong folder. The latest installer released last night,  4.3b fixes that problem. If it’s working for you now, you should be good to go. If you still have the installer, check the version number of the file. If it is not 4.3b, you can get it by re-downloading from your FSW account.

Hi guys,

I would like to try the new installer for P3D v5 as well.
However my installer  i just redownloaded still says 4.2G version and doesnt install into P3D v5.

I bought the software via a retailer, is there any way to get the v5 installer ?

Kind regards,

Mike

The new installer is only currently available from the Flysimware store. The other stores will get the new installer in a few days to a week from now.
