May 4, 20206 yr Also try 85, this always worked best for me with quadcore CPUs (it is basically mimicking HT off). Might be that v5 acts different now... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

All 4 physics skyrocks to 100% making it a stutter/pause sim here. Will try Berts AM but via ProcessLasso. I guess its leaving core 1 for there? Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe

OK, Pete...I threw that into the .cfg...:)

May 4, 20206 yr I know, but for me, the adapted AM with 1365 still provides the best results. Did not try 4093 with an external frame limiter though... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

Please all you guys with multi-core CPUs... we are trying to help a quad core user here.. Please start a new topic if you want to discuss six or eight core options. Bert
May 4, 20206 yr After Berts suggestion leaving logical core 1 of i tried out a flight in 4k with QW787-10 . KSEA-CYVR with FSDT, DD,FTXPNW on Dense settings with some shadows. Medium water, reflections,DL,DAWN 4layers enhanced. Ultra smooth still but i am having CPU temps about 5-10c up even at 25hz.(peak up to 95c) mostly around 75c It didnt crash but its a relative short flight. GPU was about 35%. So if i have to lower the multiplier especialy when PMDG,FSL arrives I might be back to 4.5 performance. That makes me think a newer system is needed to gain 30hz. What are your thoughts? (4770k@4,6) Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe
May 4, 20206 yr Take 200MHz off the CPU, this is not even 5%, you wont notice the difference in FPS, but it might be sufficient to run it some degrees cooler, if you also adjust the Vcore accordingly. Did you think about replacing the thermal paste in all those years you use the 4770K? I replace it every two years... (4770k@4,6) Thanks Michael Moe I am happily running my 4770K @ 4.1 (mind you, at 1080p) so you should have lots of room to throttle down and still get good performance.. Interesting throttle back theory Bert but if it works it works. Guess we will know when PMDG,FSL arrives. Or upgrading to 2020 standards Michael Moe Michael Moe
