May 4, 20206 yr Hi, In this new V5 I'm noticing lots of light pols allover, including growing out of the water. Is anybody else experiencing this issue or a fix? Even some airports have lights like that on taxiways or aprons. I mark some of them with red dots. Thank you. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xz4LkdYIAZXTLM_tl-UB0d52h9qhcaJZ/view?usp=sharing 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

It's not even Beta standards, it looks like Alfa project but released and sold to the public. This is not the first simulator released on the market to say that they are the first time developers and have no clue of what they do. I would understand that, but after so many years they make one step forward and brake lots of stuff, for a while by now, with every new version they release it seems to have as many bugs as they can. People need to pay attention to their forum to see the problems and LM P3D developer should be really concerned. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel fading out. I'm wondering where is quality control? It is impossible (IMHO) for me to believe that no Beta tester did not noticed the problems, if that's the case there is nothing but nothing to be done and just hope for a more reliable and responsible developer and beta testing team. Anyway, I've gone back to V4 after the second, and last uninstall. Guess the waiting begins... :>) Cheers, Mark

May 4, 20206 yr I never saw that with a clean install. When you took that pic, did you have any addons installed (besides the DASH8)? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

The problem is before I moved the F-28. I noticed also people complaining about this issue on their forum and got blown off by many others despite the fact the pictures show otherwise. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

Also @micstatic same question. If its windowed mode, I'm seeing visual artifacts in window mode too. Full screen is good so far...knock on wood. May 5, 20206 yr I've seen this from the very first time I ran V5. It shows in windowed and full screen. I'm flying in the southwestern Ohio are, and they are all over the place. And adding any kind of scenery over it does not make them go away. I really find it hard to believe no one saw this before the release. 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz i7-9700K RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6
May 5, 20206 yr at first glance going into full screen seemed to work better. I also noticed that even going back to windowed mode the flickering appeared to settle down a little on its own. The only thing I don't like about true fullscreen mode is that it messes up my two other monitors that I use for things like active sky, navigraph. etc. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
May 5, 20206 yr The light pole issue have been around since the first release of P3D. I believe there's a way to disable them or edit them out via terrain.cfg.

Are we talking about the same "light pole" issue? My understanding is, that it are the "chains" of lines rising up from the gound straight into the air wich at night looks light "light chains". But I think they have to do something with "objects" or the "mesh". Sometimes when you are in the sim, and rebuild your shaders with Enhanced Atmo on, you will see them to "beneed" the ground level. Just short till the shaders fills in the colorized textures. This isn´t something that can be "handled" via terrain.cfg or any other .cfg. It is an issue LM is working on and sorting it out.
