May 10, 20206 yr Very promising. I am just downloading the Env* packages and will start working with them tomorrow. Thanks a lot for your efforts, highly encouraging as I don't see myself going back to v4. Hans

You can’t open it but you made changes? You have to install ENVDIR to use it. It is the main program that is the interface to use ENVTEX/ENVSHADE/ENVSOUND. Make sure you use the update option in ENVDIR because older versions of ENVSHADE aren’t compatible with v5. After updated make sure it finds your v5 installation and that the little green “shaders” switch should be ticked on just like in GSalden’s screenshot. Then make sure you install (green down arrow on the bottom left) which takes a minute or so to install into P3D and then you’re done. 9800X3D | 5090 | 64GB DDR5 | LG C2 42"

Yep...tried all this....ran update, managed to open once...keep moving sliders left right, installing with green button but "picture" is the same.... clean shadders.....And than I forgot. Just reading this post I tried opening again, getting splash screen, spinning....and that's it...ran update again...updated, same thing.....so really disappointment. This is the first thing that I bought and can't use it.... Alex
May 10, 20206 yr H, just a quick question .Are you using ASCA as well as ENVTEX and ENVSHADE .I see it's not activated in the ENDIR settings.I was thinking of uninstalling ASCA and just running with ENVTEX and ENVSHADE. Cheers Brett
May 11, 20206 yr Quick question: Is it normal that Envtex injection times are so long? It's running for more than 15 minutes now. Hans

Cheers Brett I simply openend my V4 ASCA and added V5 in the Paths settings. Then I made V5 active. So I can add everything I want.
