I am also trying to get Kiwis yellow scattered sunlight set to work.

More this effect for v5 ( screenshot is v4.5 )

It looks great. After PTA+ REX, these settings are not very intuitive. I have an envshade, but can't turn on the slider REX

Just look at them. They have a soft look

It is possible to create clouds with special textures, but my opinion, derived from looking at all the online trueSky demo videos, is that the clouds in P3d5 (and also pretty much every atmospheric feature including the sizes of the sun and moon, rain, snow, psychedelic sunset colors, etc.) look exactly like the default trueSky clouds.

How to make the back side of the cloud more contrast? (darker)

That I only could do with PTA, which doesn’t exist for v5.

Very promising. I am just downloading the Env* packages and will start working with them tomorrow. Thanks a lot for your efforts, highly encouraging as I don't see myself going back to v4.

EnvShade%20settings.jpg

I have it installed....can't even open it.....not sure what's with that...Also, I tried making changes and nothing is happening when I could open. So I am really disappointment with Envshade...Wish I can have PTA....this one definitely is far away from PTA....I would like to use different term but it's not allowed...Will un-install after I land today.

You can’t open it but you made changes? You have to install ENVDIR to use it. It is the main program that is the interface to use ENVTEX/ENVSHADE/ENVSOUND. Make sure you use the update option in ENVDIR because older versions of ENVSHADE aren’t compatible with v5. After updated make sure it finds your v5 installation and that the little green “shaders” switch should be ticked on just like in GSalden’s screenshot. Then make sure you install (green down arrow on the bottom left) which takes a minute or so to install into P3D and then you’re done.

Yep...tried all  this....ran update, managed to open once...keep moving sliders left right, installing with green button but "picture" is the same.... clean shadders.....And than I forgot. Just reading this post I tried opening again, getting splash screen, spinning....and that's it...ran update again...updated, same thing.....so really disappointment. This is the first thing that I bought and can't use it....

H, just a quick question .Are you using ASCA as well as ENVTEX and ENVSHADE  .I see it's not activated in the ENDIR settings.I was thinking of uninstalling ASCA and just running with ENVTEX and ENVSHADE.

Cheers Brett

Quick question: Is it normal that Envtex injection times are so long? It's running for more than 15 minutes now.

I simply openend my V4 ASCA and added V5 in the Paths settings. Then I made V5 active. So I can add everything I want.

EnvDir is not aware of that.

Here it takes about 2-3 minutes. It depends on how many texture options you have active and have to be copied into P3D.
