P3Dv5 : descent and landing - Nice ( vid )

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Recorded with the cellphone in my hand and flying with the other... So not perfect by far.

Therefore I put the ac at the gate the quickest way 😆

Just a short vid as I promised last week ; no compass as you can see but that will be fixed next week..

Wow, and here’s me suffering with a 2080ti on super wide! Man, I wish my sim looked like that.

You've got one very jealous simmer here.

Congrats on your setup. If I dared to spend that amount of money on my Flight Sim Rig, i'd be single after nearly 27 years of being married.🤑

Main PC: AMD Ryzen 3800X, GIGABYTE X570 Auros Ultra, 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM, Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD, SAMSUNG QVO (1TB) SSD, 2 * 1 TB M.2 2280 Nvme SSD, Toshiba (4TB) HDD, WD (2TB) HDD, PALIT GTX 1070* 8 GB vRAM, CORSAIR H100i GTX Water cooler, SAITEK X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, SAITEK YOKE, 2 * SAITEK throttles, SAITEK PEDALS

*new GPU planned (30xx or Big Navi) when I can get one but I may have to wait a short time (ie the more vRam the better or whatever I can afford) to see what's best for me.

I just installed the version for V4 into V5. That I did with all Addons.

Some at first did not want to so I renamed V5 to V4 and then it was no problem. After installing I renamed V4 back to V5.

As I use the xml way only I simply added them manually.

@GSalden you should be banned for life for posting such pics or vids (or even talking) of your setup!

@MODS: Where are you? Poor people suffer from CTD's and this guy...this guy enjoys he's SIM and even posts vid's of he's amazing setup!!!

Why on earth did the flight not end in a CTD...dear lords be prepar3d next time and just crash him!

PS: My wife would kill me if I owned only 1/4 of your setup since I would spend more time in that "cave" instead of....well other things.

Very NICE! 😀

Gerard, I'm going to assume that P3D v4.5 is gone for good.

V4.5 ? Let me think .....  I remember somewhere in the past ...😆

Yes, I uninstalled V4 last week.

The performance in V5 is a little better and the stock v5 looks better than the stock v4.

Of coarse I had a V4 with complete modified Shaders and some post processing tweaks so it looked very good to me.

V5 has a better atmosphere to look at but there is still room for improvements..

And I use Dynamic Texture Streaming to the GPU. No OOM by far ( somethings 45-55% memory load )
