Well, I guess if you are going to use an Xbox controller, it will be a game. The rest of us using Flight Sim Controllers will be Flight Simming.

Keyboards mouse flight sticks and more all available for XBOX, I will try both in time.

You can use a X-Box controller in P3D/FSX as well, and has default bindings.

Now you still need a keyboard nearby for other controls, but the controller works fine for controlling the aircraft. I use it when testing scenery, and have done short hops between airports with just it and a keyboard.

Some Military and civilian drones can be controlled using X-Box or other console controllers IRL.

To be fair you could treat it like a radio controlled aircraft, although having a centring spring on the throttle is just plane (pun intended) wrong!

Pffffttt! I would bet even money the developers are using and optimizing for Xbox controllers......

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

No 737NG at all? 😕

I hope they add one because then we'd have both the worlds workhorse airplanes (A320 & 737NG) right out of the box. X-Plane 11 has a fantastic default B738 but missed the chance to include an A320 to compliment it. Now it seems MS has done the opposite!

On another note - I think its great its coming to the Xbox, as a gamer it will be nice to have on the console to make friends do landing challenges after they've had a few beers lol. And it will be fun to dive in to do short hops when I dont feel like sitting at the PC desk. And lastly it will expose a massive gaming audience to aviation.

It would be great if Microsoft came out with a range of branded flight controllers as well!
