June 15, 20205 yr Author I hope so, too! I even guess this could be easily finetuned, just get rid of those immense single big waves and add more white crests. My concern is: do they even know about the "problem"? There are hundreds of complains and posts here and I guess the largest ones are seen (trees obviously :D), but how many pages does a discussion here require to be seen... 😉 There is no direct feedback possibility at Asobo, right?

Just reviewed some stormy approach videos on youtube and the water is really different: white caps, lots of waves, but not this gigantic one in the video... Oh, and still no fuzzy cirrus clouds in the Sim 😄 -but that's another topic 😁 Boredom while awaiting release of the final product now has people questioning wave height. I would suggest it is most likely not relevant to a working flight simulator. At some point the may take a look at it and adjust accordingly if possible. Not much to have a discussion about here!

Asobo does not give any feedback AFAIK. Maybe if you're in the Alpha with access to the alpha forums you might see feedback, but IDK. So, do they know about these wave (or tree) complaints? Who knows 🙄 Matthew S
June 15, 20205 yr Hey, @MatthewS, from what I have been told by a source I trust, Asobo is being made aware of all of these issues through various testers. There are other's that agree with you on some of the scaling issues. Chris

Totally agree, next thing we will be complaining that the gras doesn't grow, or we want to see people walking like in real life.... Yes it is and when you fly and land somewhere where the weather indications are scarce, you would appreciate to assess the direction and strength of the wind looking at waves and/or trees/tallgrass instead of cheating with some keyboard command. The effet of the wind on trees and water is one of the Grails of flight simulation and it is high time that Asobo tackles the issue. Not everybody flies at FL350, you know 😉 ! As a simmer, I find this discussion useful and interesting. As a simmer, I find this discussion useful and interesting. Agree completely! Waves and tree movement add a great deal for me in a flight simulator, yet no one ever seems to get this right. I'm a sea kayaker, so I have a fairly good understanding of the relatioship between the size of waves and wind strength. I only fly GA in sims and stay pretty low most of the time, so I'm loving what I'm seeing with MSFS 2020 so far . . . even in its Alpha state. ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
